What's particular about that 400m relay is thst the announcers never mentioned BTS nor the member names thruout the race, even tho they were consistent in the 2nd place. They mentioned all the other groups tho, seventeen, b1a4 and teentop and even their members but no BTS. That's why it was so satisfying seeing and hearing the announcers so surprised when BTS won the race in the end. 😏 Their fault for disregarding bts.. That relay race is a metaphor of BTS history in korean media. Never mentioned and mostly disregarded despite their achievements in the starting years. And then they're so surprised when BTS exploded.

I’ll write this again, because it goes with the episode and because people need to realise BTS’ relationship is special. Jungkook once said he is glad BTS actually get along, because he was surprised by the amount of groups that don’t like each other and just act for fans and cameras. He said it on a documentary and he was spilling the TEA ☕️

And you can see the way k-pop groups nowadays are trying to copy, or i guess fake a close relationship between the members just because they think that makes you famous. What they don't realise is good relationship behind the cameras makes you stronger that leads to succes . Not the closeness for cameras that's fake.

Regarding the girls at the beginning. When the purple girl fell, it was members from other teams that initially went to check on her, not her own. Similar thing happened to Tao. He was forced to perform whilst injured and a ton of other crap by SM. His members didn't/couldn't help him and he eventually left and sued the company. His anger, definitely not staged.

I think V had a panic attack too. That's what I remember from watching all their videos. Maybe an older Army can recall details. But V and Suga both had to quit the concert and felt more than just fainting and that's why they took them to the hospital. They were completely wiped out. I do know RM had a panic attack at some point and couldn't perform too. I think his was severe and he was hospitalized too. But I can't document which video I remember that from. All the death threats became paralyzing. I always state...my opinion because that's the impression I get from hearing about their hardships. Here is the good thing. Here is the life lesson. They all survived. They all endured. I assume they did seek help. And they became mentally stronger because of their "Life Tests". That's why their song "On" has such meaning. "Bring the pain On". They are so strong now... they can even talk to and shout out to any adversary or pain. Bring it on. We can handle anything. Because they have! You can too!

Well, the truth is that we don't really know if this is the concert Suga talks about in his songs. That's something ARMY suposed but it was never oficially said. It could be that what they said was just true, or it could be when Suga had his panick attack, I have also read somewhere that V just stayed with him and that's why he wasn't there, but as I've said that's just ARMY guessing, it was never confirmed.

For the Japanese concert where Suga and V didn't perform, Suga had a panic attack and couldn't perform. He sang about it in his song "The Last" and also wrote a letter to ARMY apologizing and explaining the situation. V may have had a medical issue, I'm not sure, but I think the point Aneesa was making was that they were all on the brink of exhaustion (mentioning they hadn't slept in 48 hours). That whole conversation about girls and guys was a bit of a mess lmaaoo. The point of the video was not that girls are more emotional and would have a harder time in a group. The point was that not all kpop groups (or just groups in general) are as close as BTS is. One of the reasons BTS stood out so much is their very close bond together. They view eachother as family. The group is their first priority. There are a lot of groups out there(not all) where the members are just colleagues at best and genuinely dislike each other at worst. And thats been known to happen with both boygroups and girlgroups..😕😅

Are they? A few become friends once they have moved out - which BTS didn't do for the longest time and still got along. We know Shinee for example became friends after (!) moving out of the dorm. I think Got7 are at least partial close friends - two got a friendship tattoo. But a lot of them are just coworkers - the way 1D was - and not that close. It's insanely competitonal: Because only the most liked get individual brand ambassadorship, Drama roles, MCs etc. and maybe have a career after their contract is over. I'm under the impression that maybe Exo is not actually close. The way they got into military service is maybe a hint or the way some sue themselves out of a contract on their own. This is the first time that 3 try at once. A lot of "friendships" are surface level. Which is why those girls of Muse9 for example were so bitter or why quiet a few groups loose members during their career.

@@ruthfischer7615 i don’t see where is the moving out part came from and i don’t disagree but i know about co-working relationships between most idols, it’s obvious and logical with favouritism from companies but that was a point of including that episodes in the beginning - to show how, in this case, bts still did things like a team no matter what promotions who got and who was popular in which era. and groups like families are really quite there: i personally know alongside bts and can confidently recommend to take a look at twice, g-idle, stray kids, mamamoo or seventeen. it’s healthy to not believe everything idols say and do on cameras but in case of some groups it’s clear because of how they work together and how far can and do come - exactly as zitao said, without team work and trust no visuals or vocal/rap/performing skill or agency’s money can take group to the top. i guess that’s the whole point on this beef

Aneesa spent 4 years (some of them full-time) editing this series before she started posting, they were weekly/bi-weekly uploads throughout 2021(with a few breaks in between when she had to make changes). I saw a few of her livestreams during the time the series was being posted, and she talked about the stress/workload a little (remember she was one person editing this, her team only helped with feedback/translations), and at times she was even making last minute changes. She had very high standards for herself, ESPECIALLY with the overarching “themes” of each chapter (like Friendship for this one). She wanted every chapter to be about a larger topic, and the chapters to end up as a list of reasons why she loves BTS. That’s why they each have a different feel/vibe/focus point, while telling the story chronologically, she also wanted to add meaning and self-references etc. Even though she discontinued the series for her reasons that she explained, I’m grateful she dedicated so much to making these.

The point of the beginning clip was not to show girls vs boys and you can simply look to all the drama of One Direction (as a recent example) to see this is not a gender issue -nor is it solely a Kpop issue. What the videographer is trying to highlight in the “Friends” chapter is the juxtaposition of the mindset that Bangtan has developed as opposed to that which a lot of those in the music industry have (US, Korean, etc) -a survival mode, look only out for oneself worldview. We hear stories all the time about how celebrities abandoned friends, family, ethics, etc, to get the opportunity to make their dreams a reality. The girls in the clip are literally in a competition, so they have to go into everything with the resolve to do whatever’s necessary to pass instead of their opponents. The problem with that entire mindset is when you are then put into a group, your focus MUST change to put the group FIRST if the group is to have any chance of surviving long term. We’ve seen it over and over again with groups in the US - N*Sync, Jackson 5, Destiny’s Child, etc- at some point one (or more) members in a group put their personal dreams or aspirations above that of the group goals and it leads to disbandment or a (never-ending) hiatus. And I’m not saying it is necessarily a bad thing to put yourself first, but it is undeniably detrimental to the group to do so. We can see even more clearly now how Bangtan is different from by observing their approach to their solo works: each of them are adamant about NOT wanting to separate from the group. Practically everything they do is “X of BTS”, they talk about members and the group in every appearance and interview, they have all said multiple times the main purpose for their solo work is so they can grow as a group and not become stagnant in their art.

It took time. especially since some people kept telling me concflicting information: their opinions as facts or in a way that implied something very different from what was going on/true. They are still pretty new to everything Idol music. it needs months of different bits and information to undestand. These series gives you puzzle pieces but they still have to find their places with other pieces - context - that you may have from watching different K-pop acts first even when they never took you past vibing to a song or two. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Maybe. (I don't know the artists you named good enough - I only know that a member from Got7 asked for the name rights and that two got a friendship tattoo) But a lot of groups are also only coworkers. They get along (hopefully) but don't form deep friendships or only become friends after moving out of the dorm (Shinee for example). Idol music is very competetive and often only the most liked get oportunities. Some barely earn anything over a full contract and don't get a chance afterwards either. That is a fear that people not in the "famous" (top 3 or 4 "labels") have for a reason. 💜

That clip was from PD 101 China and it was not staged. The show was originally PD 101(that originated from korea that debuted 9 out of 101 trainees as a reality show that went viral, thus franchised in China) and it is an episode where the trainees need to run and win the song they will perform on the challenge episode, so it will be advantageous to win and pick the song that the entire team liked…perform better…thus get benefit votes to add to the fan votes and not get cut off because they eliminate the low ranking voted trainees- that is the premise of the show. The show host is Tao, a Chinese idol that started first by being a member of the famous kpop group EXO but he left and became active in China. Since he came from the rigid and cut throat trainee system in korea, he knows that China is behind in the system and he wants to tell the girls that being in a team starts at the very start when you are not yet famous and you develop that trust and solidity. He was in EXO and they were originally 12 members when they debuted and he knows what it is like to work in a big group which is also part of being a multi talented individual to survive in the industry.
@miatannie6487
@miatannie6487 Жыл бұрын
The clip of the female trainees was not included to show that there's a difference between how boy groups and girl groups interact; it was included to demonstrate the importance of respecting and caring for your team members in this industry. Tao is so passionate about this because the trainees were still competing with one another, but in a team, you aren't competing with your teammate. When someone falls, you cannot move forward as a team until you know that person is ok, and the entire episode is dedicated to showing how BTS embodies teamwork and friendship, hence the title "friends". Boy groups are not less likely to fight; even bangtan have had their fair share of fights within the group, but they never lose respect for one another, and they come together to find a resolution. Another thing to note about the series is that although it is chronological, it is also thematic, so it might be less confusing to focus more on the theme/message of each episode rather than the details of the timeline.

The reason that he was mad at the girls as if they were close is because the girls were trainees and he was an ex member of a group, he knows how much it would hurt if people you know you'll eventually have to rely on have no qualms leaving you behind to get themselves higher. Side note: Please stream Take Two ARMY, there has been an influx of fake armys spamming that bts no longer needs our help but don't believe them, they're lying. As most ARMY know Suga has suffered for many years with depression, anxiety and compulsion. After his panic attack they had to cancel the concert in Kobe (Japan), that he was referring to in the song 'The last' from his 1st mixtape AgustD, Suga went back to the venue when it was empty to reflect, he then took a short break , and wrote a long letter for ARMY (translation below) Hello, this is Suga. Many people were curious as to what I was doing on my break, and to simply put it, I walked a lot, slept a lot and thought a lot. I wanted to go on a trip to organize my thoughts before working on my mixtape. I also had a place I must go to. I wanted to do things I was able to do not as a 22-year old BTS’ Suga, but as a 22-year old Min Yoongi. It was a time where I looked back at myself. The things I will say now are things I wanted to share not as a singer to a fan or as BTS to ARMY, but to talk to you as human to human. I've always wanted to be a cool person to a lot of people. Having rational thoughts and making rational decisions in any situations. I wanted to live like my father. My father said to take a look around you when there's something to be happy about. Be calm and make rational decisions when happy. The first day when "I need u" got 1st place, I took a look at my surroundings. Every minute I'm happy, I acted as if I'm not. When I'm sad I acted as if I'm not. Even if I like it, I acted as if I don't like it. I pretended to be cold-hearted and pretended to be strong. If a joy is shared, it will be doubled but if a sadness is shared, it won't get smaller. That's what I thought. I know I'm a person who's bad at expressing my emotions but I've been living that way and I thought it's right. One day, I can't exactly remember when, I was in a car with my father and he said "Yoongi, don't live like me". The first day of vacation. The first day ever since I was born, I drank with my family. It has been 6 years since I left home. We were all just chatting, listening to stories that we haven't heard of. The strong and cool father that I know, knows how to feel hurt and sad, how to feel happy and love.. 1.5-pyeong in the practice room, my studio is my wide meadows and narrow prison. I can do anything and at the same time, I can't really do anything. I can work on music thoughtlessly for 20 hours, but I can also sit there and not do anything but just thinking for 20 hours. I was 11 years old when I first started writing my own lyrics. When I listen to good music, I will feel really excited and I feel really happy more than anything. To me, music is my hope and my happiness, I also want to be someone's hope and happiness. Actually I'm someone who would just walk away rather to crash and feel pain. Anyone hates being hurt and I don't want to get hurt. In "Nevermind", "If you feel like you a going to crash then accelerate more". Perharps, that's actually what I wanted to say to myself. The most upsetting time for me when I face a large number of people, is when I face myself who isn’t able to be fair to everyone. I didn’t want to hurt anyone, but there are times I couldn’t do that. I think I’m still a person that lacks in many things. The second day of the concert in Kobe... I don’t think I’ve ever slept deeply after that day. Could it be because of the fact that I gave a wound to many people? Whenever I fell asleep, I would wake up with cold sweat. Because I already once have not been able to go on stage before and have hurt many people, I said that I’ll go up (to perform) no matter what situation arises. Everyone tried to stop me. I really cried a ton at the situation of not being able to go up on stage. And I know crying is losing. It’s really easy for me to cope with my own sorrow, but witnessing those who love me in sadness is very hard. I made them sad, once again. If I could go back to that day, I would go on stage no matter what. So there was just one place to go. I went to Kobe during my break. Many people tried to stop me from going, but I didn’t want to be ashamed of myself any longer. So I just went to Kobe without planning. It was my second time visiting the concert venue after a concert. The first was Ax Hall at late night after finishing the first Red Bullet concert. The second time was the Kobe World Memorial Hall, at where I failed to perform. I hate becoming a numb person. I didn’t want to take the love and these glorious days for granted. I didn’t want to be a numb person. That’s why I visited the venues again on my own. (T/N: He’s saying he doesn’t want to take all the love he’s receiving as granted, he really wants to appreciate every single love he gets. He’s meaning numb in the way by how he wouldn’t be able to feel what the fans feel about him. He’s basically saying he wants to appreciate every love he gets from his fans) I liked being on stage, and I still do. When I was 15 and performed in front of 2 people I stood proudly and made eye contact with them during my performance. However after my debut I feel that I have not been righteous towards myself. I think it may be because I knew better than anyone that I wasn’t perfect. And then on the day of the first performance of HYYH on stage I made proud eye contact with the audience that I didn’t do in quite a while. But after the second day of the Kobe concert when I was unable to stand on stage, I didn’t have the courage to confidently confront the large number of people. So that’s why I visited Kobe, the concert hall again. I kept wandering around the area by the concert hall from the time I arrived there until the time our performance was due to begin that day. From the ticketing booth to the entrance and the concert hall - I wanted to feel the same emotions as you all from every nook and corner. I felt many emotions. Happiness, the excited nervousness felt while waiting for the performance, sadness, resentment, anger, regret, etc. I wanted to understand you all, and I do understand. So I’m sorry and apologetic, for I am not a perfect human being. I’m a person who is weak but acts strong. Once again I realized that I was a person who’s lacking. Although I’m not religious, I prayed at that place. After all, at the end, it was a fated day. Even if it’s ended, let’s not let this heart become numb. To me, who wanted to spend every moment alone, you all were taking up quite a large part (of my mind). Age and gender, nationality and religion, what language you use - all of that isn’t important. "Whether you're young or old, whether you have a hidden child, It doesn't matter", haven't I said this already. That day, we unexpectedly had a Music Bank broadcast and I boarded a plane and returned a day before planned. I returned after organizing my many thoughts. Once again, while feeling that I’m a blessed person, I felt that I need to be a person who lives every moment feeling thankful. This is the moment I realizied the fact that 22-year old Min Yoongi, who hates being an adult, is standing in front of the threshold to being an adult. Thank you for making me a blessed person, ARMY. Although I’m never able to say this because I’m bad at expressing myself. Here I am conveying my feelings and thoughts once more through a piece of less-than-satisfactory writing. I will live while being thankful of every moment as I am such a lacking human being. I love you, ARMY.

I have to respectfully disagree about the girl group vs. boy group take. As someone who grew up in all-girl dance teams, i can personally attest that being female in no way hinders a person's ability to form strong and meaningful relationships or to create powerful synergy as a group. The point of this episode (or at least what i drew from it) was to showcase how beautiful of a frienship and familial bond bts was able to create even in such a crazy competitive industry. Their unconditional love and support for each other is perhaps the thing that contributed the most to their success as a group. Just my thoughts.. love yall!! i lowkey disagree with the notion that it's somehow intrinsically harder for girls to be part of a friendly, loving group as members because of ... their 'emotions' ? :p & also how you guys seem to generalise that all women act the same way because the way you deal with emotions is something that depends person to person & not a gender thing, but as for the kpop girl group thing, i can assure you there are loads of girl groups who love each other & have been together for years! i can see where you guys are coming from, but i just don't think it makes sense to assume that girls' 'emotions' interfere with them possibly creating long-lasting female friendships & a sisterhood lmao it's just a case-by-case question of whether the members in question can get along or not. bangtan might not be the way they are today if some members were different or just had different personalities, for example! both boy groups AND girl groups have to work equally hard to get along & become family

eh? “women are more sensitive/emotional”? this is just straight up misogynistic and not only not true but you are not getting the point of these series at all, this is supposed to be looked like a bigger picture, it's just showing what an amazing friendship bangtan has and always had, it's not supposed to be looked like boy groups vs girl groups, sometimes people just don't match or don't get along and this has nothing to do with being a man or woman. we have many groups with amazing friendships as well! the industry for girl groups is painfully as bad, not to mention the harassment they suffer, >especially< in the past when no one would defend them, and that makes them depend on each other even more because they only have their members. just to name a few: girls generation, sistar, kara, red velvet, twice, s.e.s, t-ara, girls day, blackpink, after school, exid...in the mix of these names we have active girl groups, on hiatus and disbanded groups but the friendship and loyalty they all have is the same, you can go around and see they hanging out all time, especially to celebrate each other, and i named only girl groups with years of experience together just like bts, and some of them much more.

There are way too many comments saying Yoongi had a panic attack during the Kobe concert…which is just not a fact that we know. Here’s what we DO know: 1) Their Kobe concert in December 2015 was cancelled due to Tae and Yoongi being dizzy. As the video showed, here’s one translation of what Namjoon said on stage that night to the fans: “I think we need to explain what happened today. Before today's concert, Suga hyung and V complained dizziness so we stopped rehearsing and visited the hospital to get checked by the doctors. After the CT scan the result said there wasn't any big problem. However; they said during the concert, since our performance and choreography are violent it can make them dizzy. They said that we should carefully watch their condition. Both members strongly wanted to come on stage for our fans who came to our concert in their precious time but following the doctor's recommendation they are now resting and fortunately they are recovering very fast.” 2) About a month later, Yoongi tweeted a heartfelt Twitter thread, which has been posted in the comments. Again, nothing about a panic attack was mentioned. (The cold sweat part is quoted as “After the second day of the concert in Kobe, Japan, I have not been able to sleep that well. Could it be because I know I hurt so many people? I’ve been waking up covered in cold sweat.”) Note that this was one of the first times that they had to ever cancel a show, so it was a big deal to him clearly. 3) Yoongi rapped about being scared of people and hiding in the bathroom before a performance in his song “The Last,” released in 2016. He didn’t mention when it was. The words “panic attack” were never used, though I encourage ppl to read it themselves. (I always assumed it was a pre-debut event because he was telling a lot of pre-debut stories in that mixtape and he mentions that it was “on a day of some performance I can’t even remember” but again we DON’T know.) ARMY theories tend to have a life of their own and then somehow become fact as new fans come in so here’s the main objective points laid out for new fans to make their own conclusions.

Its not about girl group or boy group or someone cant handle emotions Its about understanding & supporting each other. How to tackle hardships Kpop industry is very competitive & the companies intentionally add this competitiveness (even after the grp has debut) so that the members have this sense of "I have to do better than xyz member" So instead of focusing on creating good relationships, these grps only have envy/jealousy/competition for each other Causing quite a lot of them to break up. It's even worse if the grp debuts from a survival show which is quite common in kpop This is seen in both girls & boys. The reason that clip was added was to show how different bts are. They are an anomaly They've given importance to forming a bond & sharing stuff from the start. Which helps them tackle stuff situations if they arise

Men and women are not a monolith, the point of the clip was to show how compared to other groups, bts have a real brotherhood and unbreakable bond. Both male and female groups have broken up because they don't like each other, and many just act like they like each other for the camera. Not sure how you guys took it as a gender thing because there are countless female best friend groups and idol groups that have struggled and stuck together for YEARS. Thanks for reacting to bts but pushing the stereotype that girls can't handle emotions or are psychologically less mature is such an outdated mindset to have. This episode highlight the importance of friendship and selfishness if you wanna succeed as a group. Trainees are competing against one another before they debut (rember chapt 1) , but once they debut they are supposed to be best friends 24-7... but most of time, they are not. Zitao wasn’t just angry that the girls kept running, but that HER OWN teammates kept running over her and people from other teams came to help the fallen girl. He gave them a good life lesson, since he knows how things work in the industry, he knows that if they wanting to debut so bad that they only focus on themselves they are not going to succeed. BTS were différent. RM was the first trainee, and all the others was gathered around him. In an interview, a former Big Hit trainee said that RM told them to be human and treat one another with respect while they compete. RM was an inclusive et cooperative leader, rather than dictatorial, already inspirational to his peers. And Big Hit managment, and Bang PD encouraged emotional intelligence and diplomacy. So our boys were different from the beginning, selfless, putting the team before themselves, and as time goes by, they become a loving, caring and supportive family. Wich is a big part of their success and appeals , besides their talents and hardwork, and artistry. For the cancelation of the Kobe concert, they said that V and Suga have a intoxication, but it's not true, at least for Suga. Suga have a panic attack this day, juste before the concert. He talk about this moment in his song "The Last" : " I don’t give a shit I don’t give a fuck /All those words uh/ Those words are said to hide my weak self/Those days I wish I could erase / Right, that performance day / Which I don’t remember very well /The day I confronted myself /When I hid inside the bathroom /Because I was scared of people" . Suga's letter about Kobe concert "Hello, this is Suga. Many people were curious as to what I was doing on my break, and to simply put it, I walked a lot, slept a lot and thought a lot. I wanted to go on a trip to organize my thoughts before working on my mixtape. I also had a place I must go to. I wanted to do things I was able to do not as a 24-year old BTS’ Suga, but as a 24-year old Min Yoongi. It was a time where I looked back at myself.The things I will say now are things I wanted to share not as a singer to a fan or as BTS to ARMY, but to talk to you as human to human. I've always wanted to be a cool person to a lot of people. Having rationale thoughts and making rationale decisions in any situations. I wanted to live like my father. My father said to take a look around you when there's something to be happy about. Be calm and make rationale decisions when happy. The first day when "I need u" got 1st place, I took a look at my surroundings. Every minute I'm happy, I acted as if I'm not. When I'm sad I acted as if I'm not. Even if I like it, I acted as if I don't like it. I pretended to be cold-hearted and pretended to be strong.If a joy is shared, it will be doubled but if a sadness is shared, it won't get smaller. I was 13 years old when I first started writing my own lyrics. I hate becoming a numb person.I didn’t want to take the love and these glorious days for granted. I didn’t want to be a numb person. That’s why I visited the venues again on my own. I liked being on stage, and I still do. When I was 17 and performed in front of 2 people I stood proudly and made eye contact with them during my performance. Age and gender, nationality and religion, what language you use - all of that isn’t important to me. "Whether you're young or old, whether you have a hidden child, I don't care", haven't I said this already. That day, we unexpectedly had a Music Bank broadcast and I boarded a plane and returned a day before planned. I returned after organizing my many thoughts. Once again, while feeling that I’m a blessed person, I felt that I need to be a person who lives every moment feeling thankful. This is the moment I realized the fact that 24-year old Min Yoongi, who hates being an adult, is standing in front of the threshold to being an adult. I love you, ARMY.""

8:46 Yeah, I guess that if you don’t really know the context, it might be hard to really understand what the editor is trying to show, especially if you’re trying to connect unrelated events (like ISAAC) with it. I’m pretty sure the show is filmed in China (since they’re speaking Chinese, you can hear it, it sounds different from Korean) and the guy is training them. He used to be a member of a group called EXO. EXO used to have 12 members if I remember correctly, and three of them were Chinese and their company (SM Entertainment, one of the Big Three) is known for treating idols who are not Korean… differently. It got to a point where the guy quit the company and went back to China (and I believe he might have even sued SM?) Anyway, his anger was very real, because in a kpop group, you have to be able to rely on the members of your team, and literally no one in her team helped the girl. He’s trying to teach them a lesson of teamwork, basically, and to make them feel bad for celebrating while one of the trainee was hurt. Also, I totally disagree with your perception that being girls make it harder to get along easily? It’s just a weird bias to have. Most kpop groups, no matter the gender, are colleagues, and in the best cases, friends. BTS are a total exception, the guys have gone on camera and compared each other to family. Such an unconditional love is rare and definitely something they cherish a lot. But I think something we tend to forget is that BTS used to fight too! The banana incident, the folded clothes incident, the dumpling incident… What makes BTS a family is that, throughout the years, they have made a real effort to connect with each other, no matter how different their background was. I really hope you guys read the comments. I don’t see you interacting in the comments section, so I’m hoping you’ll read one of the many comments trying to explain the situation better than I did 😅 ALSO ALL ARMYS READING THIS PLEASE STREAM TAKE TWO!!!! WE TREAT IT AS A COMEBACK AND IF WE DO REALLY WELL BTS COULD WIN AT THE END OF YEAR AWARD SHOWS!!!!!

We will never forget how the industry and other kpop fans throwing sh*ts and b*lly the tannies on the daily basis eversince they debuted. That's the reason why ARMYs are being protective to them bcoz we witnessed everything they've been through. We're here for them and them only. 🫶

I really don't think that gender plays a big part in how the group get along, it mostly how the company and how the fandom treat the group and the members. Of course bullying in the group and groups not getting along does happen, but it happens in both the girl and in the boy groups. It really all comes down to the personality of the members and the dynamics in the group, but also wheter or not the company treats the members equaly or not. Obviously the training period is intense and competative, and shit can always happen. I think it really its pretty normal to pit women against women in the idol industry, when there's absolutely no need for it.

You guys are among my favorite reactors and I always look forward to your videos. This is one of my favorite episodes of Rise of Bangtan, and I feel like you completely missed the point. You even titled this reaction that BTS dominated the Idol Olympics, when that wasn't even what the episode was about. Along with almost everyone else here, I was really disappointed that all you took away from the beginning scene was that girls are more emotional. The whole point was to show how BTS is different from other groups and other trainees. They have always considered each other family and that's really rare in the music industry. Thanks for your reaction.

FYI!!! Theres a K-pop group called Twice. They are a girl group containing 9 members. As far as I know they are one of the closest groups in the industry. Also BTS have fought many times over the years. They've talked about it and arent ashemed either. The dumpling incident, the banana incident, JK and Jimin incident (Idk much at all about it). Theres even a video where Jin and V had an argument before an consert. Them fighting and talking about thoese fights are one on the reasons they are so close now. How you control, show or handle your feelings doesnt really have anything to do with your gender. RM and JK are both males but they dont c, s or h their emotions the same way.

Other groups are trained to portray “best friends” but we hear stories that they actually hate each other and won’t even speak to each other off-camera. BTS is the anomaly… The fact that they actually love each other and respect each other has nothing to do with male/female but everything to do with who they are.

So the beginning was not staged: the show is a popular one (they did this in korea,china) where there are 101 trainees and they get judged in the competition until they choose like maximum 11 girls to debut in a group for like 2/3 years. Since it's a competition,i understand the girls being competitive but Tao was mad because the girls in the same team as the one who fell didn't check on her. Sadly,a lot of members in groups aren't friends,a lot just want to be the most popular,etc. Tao story is complicated since he was in EXO and SM is sadly known to treat their artists badly,especially foreign ones.

Never ever in the tens of reaction to this ep. of ROB have I ever seen someone noticing that the grps shown fighting were girls ... I write this message in hope of explaining to you why it cuts deep for a lot of us.. for instance, when Daniel said that "in his personal experience he has seen women to be emotional or good with memory or believer in talking things out rather forgetting about it" he somehow made these positive traits sound like a negative thing and to make things worse they generalised the gender specific personality traits to be the reason for ALL women to be itchy with each others and incapable of forming strong relationships... No one's saying girls and boys have similar personality, but that doesn't also mean that girls in a long run can't work together with great professionalism and forge true friendships.. One advice - Remember ARMY is not foolish, we are a hard audience.. so, yes be careful of what you say on important matters.. bangtan's pride is most important to armies. So, we try our best to keep things around us ethically as correct as possible so that they also feel just pride in us.. Also, Xen - if you are reading, you could have schooled them on your own, but you allowed this to happen - don't be afraid to be their first critic, you are an army first... Don't let them put out unworthy content... Beleive me the fact that an army is backing this channel is enough for us to trust them more, we are riding on you girl.. almost 70k ppl are trusting you as well..

Yoongi 🥺 in 2015, when BTS had concert in Japan, he had a panic attack and hid himself in the bathroom and was unable to perform. At the same time Taehyung was brought to hospital for food poisoning. So the concert ended with only 5 members of BTS performing and Japanese fans were crying throughout the concert. After the concert, Japanese Armys bashed Suga for not doing the concert. After the tour, BTS went on a break but Suga went back to Japan and reminisce what just happened on that day. He posted a very, very long apology in twitter calling himself a weak man pretending to be strong and how he wished that he just went through the concert instead. In my opinion, although Japanese Armys deserves an explanation, Yoongi did not have to apologize for something he had been suffering for years (depression and anxiety since he was 18) and he should definitely not insult himself like that 😭 Hobi says Yoongi is the strongest at heart and real Armys knows that 💜❤..... Yoongi even mentioned this in his lyrics for the song called 'The last' from his 1st mixtape Agust D🥺.

this is my fave ep!!!! the scolding scenes were from a reality show were trainees "survive" into a team that debuts later (they're very popular lol) and it was all about how you all go together or you crumble, the only teams that survive in kpop are the ones that actually cherish each other and don't mind to take the hit for the others/together, help each other, or value their popularity even it's "bigger" than their own. and what happened there is that the girls saw someone they spend everyday with fall and no one checked on her because they were to worried about themselves. and yes, in kpop singing and dancing is just the basic step. that's why they're called "idols" or "artists" and not "singers/dancers", it's because they're that plus many other things like athletes, actors, models, photographers, stylists, designers, producers, mcs, djs, the list goes on and on and on.

hey guys . I really love watching your content because you are really genuine but I just have one question and please dont think I am being rude , I am just curious . I understand you posting run bts and shows like bonvoyage on petreon because it gets canceled on youtube but why do you guys upload deleted and bonus content of TROB when it is literally free content on youtube ? I feel like those bonus scenes are part of trob and we want to watch that with you too as everyone cannot afford petreon. I really respect you guys , just want to know the reason behind this . Have a great weekend !!

14:26 The reason they didn't count as you were expecting is because they have two different number systems! The native korean number system is used for general counting and for counting people, hours, things, etc. and the sino-korean numbers are used for things like dates, money, minutes, addresses and phone numbers 😁

I generally really enjoy your content and always engage with you in a positive way, but making comments about girl groups being different from boy groups because of how emotional girls are is actually quite harmful. Misogynists frequently use the argument that women are too emotional to devalue and discredit women's opinions, to justify them not being deserving of being in positions of power that are stereotypically assumed to belong to a man, to pit women against each other and create an overly competitive environment, etc. A boy group could've very well have been used in this instance and the message still would've been the same. It's not about too many women not being able to handle living together because they're 'too emotional', it's about how kpop (and the idol world as a whole) is a very competitive industry where most people are trying to make it to the top and disregard those around them, even the people in the same group, and how many groups have a strictly business-like relationship and don't form true comradery and friendships. I don't think you meant to be offensive with these comments, but please be more mindful in the future. We don't need to be devaluing women and female relationships any more than society as a whole already does.
@seequirky
@seequirky Жыл бұрын
I really don’t think that’s what they meant, what I understand from them was that Daniel and Gabriel were saying that from their experience with their wives and Daniel with his daughters is that they themselves generally only focus on one thing and doing that or finding the solution and then it’s done. Whereas in their experience with the girls, Summer and Abby tend to analyse everything more than they do and will be thinking of all the underlying issues and thinking ten steps ahead and trying to resolve issues before they even come up. They did generalise a little but I think they were speaking more in terms of their own experience and dynamics in their relationships rather than speaking for everyone. But I definitely agree on the basis of your comment and that misogyny can be very detrimental and harmful. I work in an all female industry that gets looked down on so I definitely get it.

@@seequirky I understand what you're saying, which is why I said at the end that I didn't think they meant to be offensive. I've been watching their videos long enough to know they seem to be generally kind and thoughtful people. But considering the size of their audience and how they definitely have young fans watching this, there is a level of responsibility that comes with that. I just hope they're more mindful in the future because the way they expressed themselves in regards to this topic contributes to harmful stereotypes, even unintentionally.

You’re right, and a lot of us are agreeing in the comments as well. That was misogynistic… even if their point wasn’t to like offend. It’s still wrong. Men and women can be and should be however they want. That whole “women are more emotional and men are more coolmind” is not it, that disregard us as thinking being, that we are always controlled by our emotions so we really cant make decisions. It saddened me a lot when i heard that, but that made me remember we should not hype people who we dont know how they are in real life. Of course they seem nice, but thats only what we see. We should be more critic with reactors. At the end… they’re making money on us, so we, have the right to point this stuff on them.

I understand what everyone is saying in the comments and I'm glad we are having these talks! I know their intentions wasnt that way in the slightest so it didn't offend me but it might offend others who wouldn't understand their point. But hopefully, they understand their intent first before immediately judging them. That's what I love about BTS too, they are deep thinkers, so intelligent, dont try to be machismo and very socially and mentally aware. So for me they break that stereotype and monopoly. There is so much to them and they have so much value! I'm grateful for that alone and so much more when it comes to BTS.

Fun fact: The person giving lecture throughout the episode is a former k-pop idol from the group EXO a Chinese member who is now active in china mentoring the trainees. Although BTS has been together for almost 10 years since debut, their friendship remains strong as they have been through thick and thin together and facing the difficulties as one team. They have trained themselves in such a way that even if people with melicious mind criticise their musical style, they will reply them through their lyrics without disrespecting them and satisfying them with sensible answers at the same time.

BTS always takes breaks called “ments” during their concerts to talk to Army. Each member will take a turn and say something. Usually 3-4 ments per concert. Gives them a chance to take a breath and get water while each one speaks. The first is a welcome and shorter than the others. They do get emotional at times and just speak their hearts. They laugh, cry and are serious at times and silly at times. Jin most of the time uses the ment time to do something special for Army - something funny and super sweet (like the heart event or different hairstyles). Very special time for Army and BTS. The last ment of the concert is always emotional as the farewell. Love these guys!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I don't agree with what you guys said about the girls being emotional more than boys...if that was actually the case, Twice would've disbanded a long time ago, and let's not forget about (G)-Idle and the whole 1 year hiatus but they came back stronger than ever after the whole BS they've gone through. girl groups literally go through the worst during their training periods and even after their debut, but still manage to keep a strong mentality and keep pushing forward. Yes, BTS are close but they aren't the only kpop group who has that family like relationship, I can name you a lot of groups who has strong bond between the members, "Seventeen", "Twice", "I-dle", "Le sserafim", "SHINee' are some prime examples.

As someone who’s been watching the kpop industry for about 13 years I think it’s also important to note while all groups suffer. The girls get it much worse than the average boy group would. And I’m glad we got to see those clips from nine muses bc often groups will put on an act that they’re all best friends when really it’s difficult to be with 8-9 people every minute of every day normally and get along. Let alone with all this pressure, stress and lack of sleep. And not just in the kpop industry but in the entertainment industry in general women will get hit a lot harder for doing the same things men have

I think the reason conflict happens in groups is not a gender related issue, it is that pop industry is harsh, that’s why 1D and exo members left on bad terms with each other. Sera from 9muses said it, after debuting some humanity was taken from them. there are good and honest relationships in the industry like bts and 9muses who maintain a good friendship among the members.

It shouldn’t matter wether they’re girls or guys… it’s kind of a negative stereotype and there are girl groups who are close as BTS are. The point is BTS has been different since the jump. They’re bonds, love of music, art, performance comes from within… not from just doing it bc it’s their jobs… and that’s what is very overwhelming about them. There are groups that love and like each other and 9muses had an impossible journey… where they’re staff and ceo treated them horrifically… breaded competition… forced any error onto their leader which led to resentment. One of the girls was actually smacked on camera… the adults around them berated them, verbally abused them and as we saw physically put their hands on them ON CAMERA. This is the reality for so many small company groups… male or female doesn’t matter and that’s not what they’re trying to point out here lol

i think the take that girls are more emotional and can't form closer bonds or whatever was being said is lowkey sexist. boys are just as emotional but are socialized to either not show those emotions (but they're still there on the inside maybe) or the emotions come out in more aggressive ways such as anger. bts's relationship is special and doesn't have to do with gender. there are other boy groups who have had a pretty hard time being close so it has nothing to do with gender. thank you for the reactions, still supporting yall i was just surprised by that take. it feels superficial and shallow minded to make such sweeping, general statements as if they are fact...

Honestly i love your reactions and i'm always happy to see this series with you guys but it's also frustrating because sometimes seems like you aren't paying attention, and this series it's so important to Army in general, cause it really shows the history of the boys and not only that it shows with an Army's perpective. We have to keep in mind that BTS grew in a time of Kpop where there were rules to everything in the system and a lot of groups boys or girls didn't survive because of that, the relationship between members were affected their healthy as well so Aneesa the creator tried to show how the system worked and how bts, the members and their company handled that but a the same time were so diferent from the rest of the groups there look just this episode in the games were hundreds of groups but only one BTS so i wish you guys would really pay attention to what they are saying because we have the advantage to actually hear from them what it was like for them, the next episodes we're going for a deeper dive about their work, progress and inner selfs so please i would apreaciate if you could pay attention i'm sorry if i was rude but as this series does a lot of comparisons to show diferences and similarites it's easy to have a misundestament. Thank you love you guys please continue your reactions borahae 💜 from Brazil 🇧🇷

Those clips of girls in training, and that girl group with unhappy members show what usually went on with a lot of idol groups back then, that they started with friendship but eventually fell apart because of envy, jealousy or they were more focused on their personal goals. They lost the friendship and team work they started with and eventually disbanded. Aneesa put it there in the beginning of the video to show the contrast in mindset and brotherhood between other idol groups & their labels and BTS. Bang PD's training system plus the members' individual personality made it possible for them to change the whole idol system. And I think that's a huge factor why they became successful.
