This song got them backlash and after this song RM would go to a woman expert and have them review his lyrics. It's still a good song and they got backlash mostly from their country. S. Korea is very conservative. ARMY still bop to it 💜

@@NotJustAnimeOfficial The issue was "Women are equations, men just do them". Three were still in high school/middle school at this point. Equations = MATH. At that age, we're ALL trying to "do" each other. NOT in a sexual context. Simply put, "figure out" or "solve" probably would have been a closer/more accurate translation of those lines because, at that age, we ARE trying to test the waters of love and relationships. What does our crush like? What doesn't our crush like? How should I ask him/her out? We're trying to *solve* those "problems"/"equations". I've never heard anyone say they have to "solve math" before going out to play...or "I have to figure out math problems before I can relax over the weekend". In English...we DO say ""I have to DO some math" or "I have math homework to DO"...thus..."do" is actually the appropriate word. Some people just heard "men do them" and automatically jumped to the sexual connotation of the word instead of the innocent - true - meaning as used in the context of the song.

I feel like it's because they are "easy" targets to bully and criticize back then. After all, they are an underrated group back then, and no one to defend them. The fandom is too small as well as their company. If it's a popular group, I bet they would just dismiss it. Army tip: All of their dance practices where they wear costumes were just ARMY gifts for Halloween. Don't tie it into the songs at all. Great guesses overall.
