Cahd, Polar, and I have been cooking up a Multiplayer Segmented Set Seed Dragon Speedrun for the 3.x beta of Better than Wolves, in Standard Difficulty.
Being that the run is segmented we are allowed to take save states after key accomplishments or after completing very RNG dependent sections of the run and redo a singular segment as many times as we want until we are happy with it. We're looking to build a very optimal run here with the target being under 24 Hours of total In Game Time, but a more realistic goal set of around 30-35 hours.
The reason we are doing it segmented is it's a very long run and it's going to be difficult to coordinate the schedules of multiple players to make a single segment run possible,
The reason we are allowed to redo segments is when it comes to moderating the validity of these runs it is almost impossible to detect "splicing" aka using different clips from different runs when there is a distinct break in the footage at the beginning and end of each segment. Rather than attempt to moderate with what would be an almost impossible to prove rule, we'd rather embrace the push for optimization.
