Hello, I was looking for gameplay of this modpack and saw this video! I then tried the pack, if you play it again, then I'd note that L (default binding) opens up the Level Up Mod, and you can choose a class and put points in skills which seems to be super strong? I put mine in defense and when I wore iron armor I felt super tanky. I also note that strainers with a tight strainer give iron essence which turns to iron, in general a bunch of the early game is sorta circumvented by using tight, wide, and regular strainers, (different nets, all made of string) and i ended up with essentially infinite iron before ever having to touch the ground. The tight strainer also gave me materials to make growth crystals which helped me grow crops super fast in a 9x9 with no upkeep and those growth crystals stacked. Overall though, super cool to see how other people played the pack!

Iron I found was never an issue in my solo runs, thanks for the advice, I'm probably gonna finish a solo playthrough at some point.

We haven't just yet. We just got to villager trading but we only have two more major sections basically. So far on pace for sub 24 hour. I killed it a couple times before this though.

Trying to beat the dragon in a mod that makes the game a lot longer and a lot harder. We are the first to try a speedrun, hence it being multiplayer, and with an average game completion time of over 100 hours, We decided to do it segmented to allow for certain predefined 'checkpoints'. So we don't have to redo a whole run when we mess up one section. Not quite as much presitge though.

Man these segments were so unoptimal. You were in the jungle, then traveled the plains for a few minutes just to end back in the jungle. We can Definitely clean this up

It means that we are playing on the newest Better than Wolves mod beta, its a 3 person multiplayer run hosted on a server, we end the run when the dragon is killed, its setseed meaning we know what the seed is and have all its information in advance, and finally its segmented, meaning that we make backups after completeing certain major progression requirements and then can redo that segment as many times as we want until we're happy, while this removes an element of RNG, we still don't have use of external tools and everything has to be human possible and done by humans, unlike a TAS.

This is on purpose at the moment as I was having some issues with my capture card, I'm looking into either getting a new one or seeing what I can do to reliably fix this issue. So yeah audio is not routed through the capture card for the moment until this is resolved.

Better than Wolves does not support 1.12.2 as far as I'm aware the community edition just reached 1.6.4 and FC (The original mod developer) stopped at 1.5.2, might there be a recreation I could check out? I'm one of the moderators of the community and have a passion for the game.

I did just look into it, you might be referring to BWM (Better with Mods) Which a recreation of this mod before the 4.Ah update, this being the case, that version has less features and is missing quite a few of the difficulty changes that I like in this version. The version I'm playing is attempting to go up to 1.8 but no further. Don't get me wrong I like newer versions of minecraft, but I'm honestly fine with the simplicity the way it is, and don't see a real gameplay advantage in moving past 1.8 other than the new combat which I prefer myself (Though this mod tweaked the s so the timing is about the same.) I myself as well am attempting to backport as many of newer minecrafts features as I can to this version because I find it a good coding project.

I took the killing shot and didn't process I actually landed said killing shot for a solid minute. Also Elle and I had spent a while farming a giant field to make all the stew the prior day Realizing I killed the dragon at 9:30 in the morning, then getting the actual egg was a confidence boost that lead to a *bit* of overconfidence in Succession

I realized this and I think it should be fixed in future videos from what I'm seeing. I think Nvidia Broadcast had an issue mainly to do with the fact that I had just come back from a graphics driver crash.

2:47 and that is where my run that lead to spawn started. Was logging the first couple of nights due to wanting to keep the spawn and had finally found a place to base. Two deadend caves in a beach alcove with a small pond. Found Piotrii 10 hours into that run, when I was getting iron tools. Hence why we had Millstone and brought it to spawn along with the rest of the industry

the death I suffered at the base we found was the last human contact I had for 10 hours. Said no human contact apart from god dropping by to fix a sapling bug was when I had the run that got me the crafting table Seems like Bragn was raging the entire time the server was up, no wonder later events happened on day 2, and yet again that creeper was not your fault
