I have this bike. So honest review. It’s fine for flat trails. But it ain’t no rock rider. As for uphills I’d suggest anticipating the right gear before ascending as it doesn’t like being changed while riding uphill! The suspension is ok! I’m not reviewing it as a bad bike because it was £250 in UK. and think it’s definitely worth that if your looking for a ride on tarmac or flat trails. got 2 punctures within the first week from cycle over rocks (rock rider maybe not ) I’m looking to buy a new bike after 2 weeks of riding but I’d say this was more foolishness on my part for how much I’d enjoy proper mountain biking which this bike isn’t cut out for.

I changed rear derailleur from SRAM X3 to SRAM X4 its better and its not plastic also i switched from 3x8 to 1x8 maybe sounds crazy but to me its better than 3x8 because I dont need that wide range of gears. Mostly I ride it on rocky terrain and over roots and its very good and durable bike also tried it on jumps and it can take a hell of beating. So I recommend it if you are a begginer in mtb or downhill. AlsoI changed tires and put Maxxis Minion on. Also changed a fork to rockshox with 120mm of travel. My personal opinion is that I made the beast of that bicycle.

I love me a sturdy bike. Got a used neon green rockrider 520 and have never been more pleased with a bike. Looks fantastic too. They only downside for me was that the suspension didn't absorb as much as I expected

I've owned the bike for over a year now and has served me well. I have since upgraded from the mechanical rotor brakes, to hydraulics. I have replaced the derailer and changed the drive-train from a 3x8 system to a 1x11. I've also replaced the rubber grips with lock on grips and new aluminium pedals as well as running tubeless tyres. With all of these modifications in mind it is a very capable bike. Good for relatively moderate trail riding.

Mine is all black with ultra blue accents. I must say great bike for the price just the front derailleur is bad when up shifting. Also the chain falls out sometimes when droping from small jumps. But its not made for that anyway. Its a great bike i love it

If you are a quite light rider put the preload adjustment all the way on plus if you want a near-to lockout feel. The suspension wont do anything or as much as it did before.

The quality has been compromised a lot with price reduction. Hydrolic disk brakes replaced by mechanical disc brakes, shimano gear assembly replaced by some another company, Hutchinson python premium tyres replaced with btwin tyres, and a lot of accessories are removed which were offered in 2016 model of initial make.

I bought this bike since 1wk. Its a good option with light weight and quick gear shifting and brakes works really well, if u are planning to buy this bike in india. U better replace the tyres , tyres are of worst quality better to replace it with michellen tyres. Otherwise the bike is good.

Tires on RR520 aren't the best. You will need to change them after buying the Bycicle. But except this, this bike is the best equiped for it's price.
