It’s literally impossible to state what this means to 2000’s moto heads…that 2.5 hours felt like 15 minutes. THANK YOU RC AND BUBBA!!! Y’all just made my entire 2023 and it hasn’t even started yet. Wow. Just wow. GOATS 1a and 1b…can’t argue that.

Until you said the length the show was I didn't even thing about it. It did seem like about 15 minutes. when I was ending I was thinking "Already?". I don't think that I have ever sat down and watch two people having a simple conversation and paid such close attention and been so vested into it. Great comment.

If you were fortunate enough to follow these two careers, as they went down as a superfan of the sport, you're so lucky again to watch this video. This video should be archived in the motocross hisotrical archives forever. The lessons learned are incredible. Just goes to show, doesn't matter how good you are, when faced with someone who's close to your speed and competition is introduced, most people fill their heads with self-doubt and fear. Both these badasses could not believe the other feared them or thought they weren't as good....this is gold.

@@EarthSurferUSA lol dude riders crash all the time and make their way back to the front , that has nothing to do with the start. Those rhythm sections most definitely don't make it easier. There's riders doubling some sections whole other will triple, alot of passes happened in those rhythm sections on way different lines through the same section. Those rhythm sections are crazy technical and have so many different lines to run them at different speeds to make a pass.

Honestly i cant get much better than this, perhaps if Chad was at the table aswell. But honestly i almost get emotional because that was my highschool era and the sport that gave me so much, and back in those days we had to wait to download the races to see them afterwards because overseas we did not have the same chanels, so we had to stay away from vital and transworld to not get the results (most of the time) we could watch the race one day after, than read the magazines. By this time now all these years later i think both Carmichael / Stew and Reed knows how much impact they had on thousands of fans worldwide, the sport was at its peak and for me personaly it helped me through some rough years. IT is so great to listen to the best the sport ever had and will have, call me biased but i dont see it the sport ever be the same again as it was in the 90´s and early 2000´s. Thanks for this Bubba.

You might as well of had an S badge on your chest because there was always this feeling that you could have done the impossible, because a lot of times you did. Championships are just one measure, there's a lot of champs out there, but there's only one Bubba and you changed the sport in a way that very few have. If you’re talking about revolutionized the sport , and I know he wasn’t on the show but in terms of guys that revolutionized the sport Jeremy McGrath had as big of an impact as RC and JS7 , maybe even bigger. Bringing his skills from BMX and staying low and fast over jumps changed everything. Ricky changed everything with how hard he trained off the bike , and Stewart came in and took staying low and fast over a Jump to a whole new level with the scrub. Nobody even today can scrub a jump like JS7. But the way guys raced until MC came in arguably had a bigger change as far as revolutionizing the sport.

He doesn't give himself enough credit honestly. Yeah, James was the fastest guy ever in supercross, no denying that but he also wasn't one to ever settle for second. "IF" RC happened to be faster on a given night, James was either going to match his pace or crash trying. So i don't really agree with RC saying he never beat James straight up (no slight against James), it's just James never really gave him many opportunities.

Ricky brought a new level of focus and intensity in prepping for racing, James you brought an entirely new style of riding that everybody does now, and of course you were the first prominent African-American Motocross rider in the United States and you dominated. Ricky is the GOAT because of how humble he is. He knows he doesn't need to say anything. And I think its cool to see Stewart get some validity for how fast he was even when he didn't cash in as much as he could have.

What's so fascinating is you have not arguably but the fastest SX rider of all time and the fastest MX rider of all time in the same room talking about the best riding indoors and Outdoors in the history of the sport. JS races a long time so the new generations know how talented he really was. But they dont realize why RC is called the goat. Amazing to finally get this. And RC is just so humble even after knowing he had JS covered outdoors and humble enough to admit JS greatness in doors and the same for Stewart, I love it

@@ronk6553 James was the fastest ever on a Supercross track. You can watch 05-07 Outdoors to clearly see RC dominance of James and everyone else. Its all over youtube. James beat RC outdoors just a couple of times and 2 out of 3 RC either wrecked or lost a google lense. The rest of the time he either took off and never looked back or he would pass him then gap him. RC fell a few times and still caught and gapped James. And this was when he was on a 4 stroke. You can blame it on the 2 stroke in 05 but not gonna fly in 06 and 07. James admitted in the pod cast RC had him second guessing himself out doors. Im a fan of both of them but you JS fans kill me with this same thing and all the excuses of why he's really faster although RC beat him outdoors 99 % of the time.

I remember flagging in the whoops section and in the main event pouring rain and Chad goes down almost right in front of me he was so muddy and frikin pissed . Definitely Not ideal race conditions but you guys were still ripping on the track . Thank the both of you and Chad when you guys came to race in NorCal awesome time and thanks for the memories!

This is Literally the first podcast I’ve ever watched the whole thing. Watching used to race through the years was the best time for Moto in my opinion. Also, growing up in Annapolis and racing with Travis when we were kids is something I’ll always remember. This is why I absolutely love SX! I went to my first SX as a kid in the 70’s and I’ve been hooked ever since! Spent lots of time at the LA Coliseum, Rose Bowl, and of course Angels stadium. I never miss going to A-1 and have been going for decades. Seeing RC and James battle was some of the best racing I’ve ever witnessed! James was insanely fast in SX and RC was the outdoor master! Glen Helen was one race I’ll never forget! Those two had battles both motos! To listen to two of the greatest riders sit back and reminisce about their old racing days! In 2005 when James moved up and challenged RC showed us some of the best racing ever! Would be cool if Reed was at the table as well. So much respect between those two on the track, and they didn’t like each other back then but the respect was there! I hope they do a part 2-3-4-5 I could listen to the two of them for hours and hours about racing! Thank you James for this! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Bro this is awesome you guys inspired me as a kid and I was on my way to making a career of racing but I got cracked with a tire iron at my part time job in an attempted robbery. Ended it. I’m 35 now and got a 450 class 3rd place with my brother taking 1st in military class and 4th in 250 class. Jesus Christ has really blessed me. It was fantastic meeting you guys years ago in 05 and 06. Travis was here in Martin Kentucky testing his Subaru a few weeks ago. Life’s wild man. God bless you guys and your families.
