If dropping the stitch really freaks you out, count down 4 and put a stitch marker in the 5th stitch, then you know that you will not totally lose the plot or your mind as you drop the stitches because the ladder will stop at the stitch marker, a safety pin will do, it’s time consuming but is helpful for a beginner until you gain confidence

speedysweetheart If you do it for a few repetitions you will learn you can recover dropped stitches and you loose the fear. The components of the stitch are always there. This also makes a beautiful baby blanket, as colorful as you like and cushiony for a baby. Thank you, Studio Knit. This tut reminded me how fun and useful this stitch is!

This is such a beautiful pattern and you explained it so well. You video is very well done. I get panic attacks when I accidentally drop a stitch and couldn't imagine doing it over and over again on purpose, but Normski Beat made a suggestion in the comments that was fantastic and because of that suggestion and your clear instructions, I think I will try this. Thank you!
