I carried a 112 everyday when I was overseas in the Army. It was the only model available to purchase and we could carry it in uniform. Mine is old and has no nail nick I still have it

Thanks, Tom, for a great video and introduction to the 110 and 112 to someone who may be new to knives or the Buck brand. Absolutely the Grandfather and Great Uncle of the modern locking folders. This is a mighty tough choice ... but if I can have only one ... I'll go with the original 110 with the longer blade, longer handle for both XL/XL+ hand sizes and/or gloved/cold weather use, and several available variants to provide more-modern materials, steels, and carry options.

I definitely prefer the 110. No doubt my most carried knife but I do have a 112. It sits nicely beside my other 110’s.👍🏼👍🏼

I have owned both models for over 40 years, they are both awesome. I also have a 35 year old 112 Buck Lite with green plastic handle. It stays in my hunting pack, i have field dressed more than 100 whitetail deer and pronghorn antelope with it.

I would like either. I've never had a Buck, but I was given a knife from both of my grandfathers after they passed. I keep those put away & I'm pretty sure they're Uncle Henrys. Thanks Tom! 😺⚔️👍🏻

I prefer the 110. I think the 110 has a good size blade for outdoor tasks. I have a single 112 from the 80’s and it is a great knife, but tends to stay in the drawer more often. I have purchased several newer 110s recently with the introduction of the advanced steels and still love the blade.

Both !!!! I carry sometimes 112. I carry sometimes 110. It depends on the day. Both are excellent everyday carry .

Excellent video. I recently bought a 112 Slim but I have my eyes on getting either a 112 or 110 in all its traditional glory. Tough decision, but leaning toward the 112. AS I get older, a smaller blade seems to be a better fit for me.

Tom my preference is the110 I have 5 of them. I have nothing against the 112 but have not come across one in my knife hunts at flea markets 😮. My best find was a harley davidson 110. Be that I'm a harley rider 😎 be safe and healthy and GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸 🙏

As much as I love the 110/112 my edc is usually a 500 or the 301. The 500 just fits my hand so much better.

I love em both!! The 12s footprint is just a lil more streamlined to my hand size. The 10s are absolutely great in hand also tho. Im definitely glad i have both and dont have to only have one or the other. Because there are times and situations that the larger length of the 10 is just a better tool. I have to say my favorite is the 112. I packed one up the PCT in 1977 from Mexico To Canada up the Pacific Crest Trail. My Dad used a 110 his whole life until he passed in 2015. Today I have that late 60's knife of his made in 440C steel. Here in Washington ,the 112 is legal to EDC. The 110 isn't

The question is not "which is best" as it is scientifically proven that BOTH are needed to prevent foundational deficiencies in any collection. Fortunately, they are widely available and comparatively affordable so privation is unnecessary and completely curable.
