This chapter of Storylines in MLB The Show 23 features Buck O'Neil. Buck O'Neil was a player, player manager, scout and coach throughout his time in both the Negro Leagues and the MLB. He was regarded as one of the best defensive first baseman of all time. As a scout he signed Ernie Banks, Lou Brock and Lee Smith to their first contracts. He then became the first African American coach in the MLB and coached for the Cubs. He most importantly helped start the Negro Leagues Museum in Kansas City. Forever engrained in baseball history, one of the most legendary humans to pick up a baseball.
