I'm new to your channel, but I love your content. I miss climbing a lot. I had a tree kick back and it crushed both of my legs. Doctor's told me that I wouldn't walk again. But a year and 9 months later and I'm walking again. It wasn't an easy road by far, but I did it. My granddaughter was born and when she started to crawl, I crawled with her, and by the time she started walking, I was walking with her. I miss cutting trees and climbing so much brother, but I watch your videos and it really helps me out of this depressed mood I've been in. Just wanted to say, thank you for there. My Granddaughter is now 15 years old, and she is my world. And I can say that if it wasn't for her, I'd probably be in a wheelchair or not around. But I want to let you know that you have truly helped me, without even knowing it. But I wanted you to know, you have saved my life, and gave me the will to keep going and not to just give up. I just wanted to say thank you.

It makes so much sense, Buckin', when you make that back cut, it's still like an elephant foot putting pressure down. Then you get wedges in and do the small front cut, and bang it over. You are like a wizard buddy! Dang.

This was beyond excellent as far as showing us the technique, Buckin. I'll be honest, when you were making your back cut first, I was thinking to myself that you were going way too deep. But I realized after watching the process that you have to cut deep enough to get the backside to lift because there's no face cut! I've mentally processed how the back cut first method might go, but never considered that the tree could be driven over some before the face cut is even started. That lift after you cut the face was just awesome as well. Really spot-on job, it was almost like you'd done it before, haha.

I have several degrees including one in robotics, so I comprehend things physical quite well. Even so, I am watching your videos at a very slow rate, both in part and in the whole. Though city educated, I have always been a country boy at heart and am retired now on a small ranch in east Texas. My shop has an extensive selection of tools for nearly every trade. Yes, I even have a selection of 5 chainsaws and tree climbing gear. When I have a project that I am unfamiliar with I usually devour videos several hours at a time. For a complex project I may study several days. Even so, I am watching your videos at a very slow rate, both in part and in the whole. Sometimes I slow the speed of the video down to 50% and take days or even a week between videos. I am crawling through your videos to fully absorb what you are teaching. I do have some upcoming cuts to make, thus my interest. I must say, you are the Master of masters of your craft. Having seen but several handfuls of your videos, I risk stating something you may have said somewhere. I've watched several of your "leaner" cuts. When looking at the bottom of a leaning tree such as this tree, one would swear there is no way it's going to fall opposite of the lean. I see now that even though the bottom outweighs the top, the upper half, or 2/3, of the tree can employ the power of leverage. This cut gave me an epiphany and inspired a statement of clarity for me. "The bottom follows the top".
