I’m shocked that schools still use traditional lockdowns that have been proved non effective. My high school doesn’t have us play this dangerous game of hide and seek unless there’s no way to safely get out. If we can safely evacuate the building, we run. During the drills we use windows, doors, garages. Any way to get out as quickly as possible. And if that means leaving the door unlocked while the class runs to an emergency exit, that’s okay. You are safer out of the building than hiding from the threat.
