Buddy Heater Tear Down - Won't Light Clogged Lines

this video is on the regular buddy heater. i did a video on the big buddy heater dissemble . that was easier than the regular buddy heater. sometimes oil builds up inside the propane lines/tubes that needs to be cleaned out.

Just do it. Take pictures as you disassemble. It will be good to have the reference. Label where the screws came from. They look similar!!!

It only takes 16 minutes to tare down and reassemble a buddy heater. Nice 👍

NOT the first time. Reassembly is a NIGHTMARE because the black plastic ends fir very tight. Took 2 hours. I could do it now in 20 minutes.

Thank you so much for this video. I had to buy a second one as a storm was comimg and I didnt have time to disassemble. But my second one needs to be cleaned and I tried the ol' cotton swab trick and pulled it out but the cotton got stuck down there. Sigh.....so now I will buy the filter and fix one of these. Haha. Thank you again!

your welcome. i got he cotton stuck too. lol i now use smoke pipe cleaners and alcohol. i also use the filter now too. lol

Awesome video! The buddy heaters always get clogged over time. It is inevitable in my experience. (and yes, I've used Mr. Buddy hose and filter and still get clogs, it just takes longer)

Take pictures as you disassemble. You'll need the reference. Label where the screws come from. They look similar!!

I found a wad of cotton in a pool of oil where the tube feeds the pilot. I split the 2 brass fittings and it was inside the middle of the feed side of the pilot. I would never have fixed it if I did not take apart the Pilot. There was very little if any oil in the lines or valve. It was cotton, and I dont know how it got in there?!?!
