The Cleveland Cavaliers 9-game win streak comes to an end as they fall to the Philadelphia 76ers, 123-121. Buddy Hield led the way for the 76ers with 24 points (5-8 3pt. FG) and 8 assists, while Kelly Oubre Jr. (24 points) and Tyrese Maxey (22 points, 9 assists) added a combined 46 points in the victory. Donovan Mitchell tallied 36 points (4-9 3pt. FG) and 6 assists for the Cavaliers in the losing effort. The 76ers have won back-to-back games as they improve to 32-21 on the season, while the Cavaliers fall to 35-17.

Are people missing the fact that he is legitimately one of the top 10 greatest 3 point shooters of all time? He's usually always healthy and him as a 4th option is very dangerous. He's essentially the evolved version of a JJ Reddick.

As a Kings fan and someone who watched the pacers after the trade, watch and see. His shooting is GREAT but it is over shadowed by his short comings. Honeymoon phase is fun, but you'll see why both franchises won't miss him

The Demarcus cousins trade his rookie season that sent buddy to the kings and cousins to N.O then he and Tyrese for sabonis

As a kings fan I can tell you this is very false… he’s super inconsistent and takes dumb shots. He only has all those three pointers made because he shoots 20 threes a game. Back in the old nba days he would be benched. Watch in playoffs he is gonna do some crazy shots and not help the team at all

@4dbagel945 😂😂😂... no.. he was on the trade market cuz he's an upcoming free agent. The pacers and hield couldn't agree to a contract extention all season so this was their last choice. They didn't want to lose him for nothing. They tried to salvage losing him by acquiring Doug McDermott, who's a good shooter as well. I'm sure Indy could've gotten more, but it was about finding a player who could fit in seamlessly with the team. Buddy was also losing minutes, Mathurin is too good to be only playing 20 minutes a game. We'll be okay with mathurin and Nesmith getting more minutes now

People forget that 2 years ago, buddy was averaging 18, 5, and 5 per game. The pacers for some reason reduced his minutes. If he plays between 34 and 36 minutes per game, he should be a scoring threat.

@@Aneeshtheravepeople forget the pacers got Benedict mathurin, he's way better than buddy. He averaged 15 ppg coming off the bench behind buddy. Imagine what he could've done given more playing time. He was one of, if not the most NBA ready rookie out the draft last year

Buddy always been more than a 3pt shooter. Pacers were misusing him. Most definitely takes pressure off of Maxey and Embiid whenever he returns.

Buddy Heild will cook dudes no sweat. I have D Mitchell in fantasy and he’s been amazing this year, and for basketball speak he’s won 9 in a row cooking before this amazing show of display from Buddy for the clutch 2 pt win in the end. But Buddy shows up on the road first game and just cooks. He knows what he can do and will do, that’s what I like about his game.

He's not his replacement, they traded buddy to give Benedict mathurin more playing time. Lol mcbuckets isn't gonna be playing no major minutes 😂😂😂... he's someone who doesn't need playing time. When u have buddy hield on the time u have to figure out where he's gonna get his minutes. Indy has too many guys playing the 2 and 3. Bet buddy won't be as good as mathurin will be now 😂😂

People don't understand why the pacers traded buddy. He wanted over 20m a season. He's in his 30s, and they have benedict mathurin whos 23 and needs more minutes. They weren't going to resign buddy cuz he wanted too much, so they just went and got a decent shooter to fill his roster spot this year and grab some draft picks.

The key reasons why Hield is balling out is 2 fold. 1) Because of Nick Nurse’s System 2) A lack of Joel Embiid being a black hole of basketball. Embiid not being with the team right now is showing that Nurse’s system operates best with a PG, 3 Wings and a rebounding big man who is fast and extremely mobile. As good as Embiid is, he needs to lose weight in order to fit in Nick Nurse’s system. Nick Nurse has won a title at every level, Embiid has never won anything.
