This is a test of the Sanlida Dragon 10 Advanced Hunting Compound Bow-- It costs less than half the price of other flagship bows: $499 for the bare bow and $699 for the Bow Kit--3 pin sight with dovetail, full containment drop away rest, stabilizer, and detachable quiver. I previously tested the Dragon X8 and the new Dragon X9. Let's see how the Dragon 10 performs.

The limbs are also made in the US John. Love all the overseas bashers commenting on here using their phones, computers, and tablets made overseas. Also, unless you're shooting Easton arrows, your shafts were made in China. PSE is the only American made carbon bow. Most hunting clothes...sewn in China. Most of the crap in your house came from China, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, or Indonesia. The steel in your car, recycled and bought from China. I can keep going...

That bow is really fast, especially for the price. It's almost the same price as the Bear Alaskan XT. It would be cool to see someone do a head to head comparison. I used to buy a new bow every year (sometimes two) but now that I'm retired and on a fixed income, combined with the outrageous bow prices, budget bows are my only option.

Lusk, I think it would be helpful for you to show a basic field point performance at 100, 125, 150, 200 grain on your yearly test. This would allow us to see the ceiling, namely for penetration. 2nd idea: maybe spice It up with 100gr field point test with various weights of arrows or FOC I penetration and speed?

I own an X8 Dragon. For $200 it's great. Very smooth draw, stupid quiet. I don't feel any vibe with a lizard skin grip tape on it. Seems accurate with a whisker biscuit out to 40yards. Short compact, lightweight (4lbs bare). I compare it to a 2006 bear instinct for size, limbs etc. But I think it's a little smoother and quieter. Same speed as I didn't have to resite my pins. It's a great value for $200! It's almost absurd honestly.

@@RTiller0205 I'm probably at 500 shots to be honest. its my first bow and had It since Dec 2022.I'm also from South Africa, so first time bow shooting / hunting. I shot it side by side with friends and their Matthews and PSE bows and its just as quiet. Speed is good for the arrow I shoot ( 350 spine Victory TKO Elite). Smoothness is great for me since I'm still sorting out my technique and getting those back muscles activated. I'm really happy with Sanlida and my next bow will probably be the Dragon 10. Slap a QAD rest on it, Stiffer spine arrow and up my draw poundage. Still gonna cost me less than a brand name bow and it will do the exact same job just as good.

I bought one tried it and liked it. The only issue was that at 32" Draw length it felt more like 31.25" . I also had trouble knowing if and when I had the draw stops in a good spot(probably because I've never had a Hybrid cam bow before). Like he mentions in the video about moving the draw stops to get a longer deeper valley, I tried that but it made the back wall feel like a two step situation where the mod would roll in to stop then you still needed to pull another 1/2 inch on both cams simultaneously untill the limb stops would hit.(and yes both cams were in time) I decided to return it after a few days messing with it. Sanlida didn't put up a fight and returned it like everything else on Amazon. I really like the bow but at a shorter DL max maybe 30 in. The fit and finish was great the paint and the machining on the cams looked better than my Mathews Atlas. I hope they make another model with a true 32in. DL maybe with a longer ATA in the future. Its definitely not "Chinese junk", you probably own something made by Sanlida or Topoint already and just never knew it.

This bow was tested on another channel out to 32" and IT actually met its IBO rating something NO OTHER flagship bow I've seen this year do.....and it was faster than advertised at 31+ He has killed deer with it.... I'm thinking about this bow with a good rest, sight and dual stabilizers ( how he had his setup) I'd bet it would shoot with any of these 3000 out the door ridiculous bows and actually be faster.... I am worried about how one would get cams shimmed and cam timing ect if needed to paper tune... There is NOTHING stopping your local bow shop from carrying this bow, THEY are chosing not to.....look at what bow shop owners drive and where they live ect..what their wives drive and you will understand quick why they push $1500 bare bows... Bear doesn't have anything remotely this fast near $500, the riser looks very Hoyt Alpha ish the cams definitely are hybrid Hoyt ish... Buying this bow in mass would literally bring the others back down to earth because it you don't think they aren't making serious margin? I can help ya.... Thank you sir for the honest and fair take...that other channel has draw force curves for it as well it's pretty linear before a slight adjustable dump I'm just stoked they make it in 31 plus...iirc at 31.5 he was zipping 450gr arrows well over 300fps... I'd really like to see one of these with apple to apple accessories in the hands of a PRO....it would scare the big company's to stop colluding notice they all raise their prices same time...

The bow looks like a decent value. The actual velocity is very disapointing. Adding a hunting weight arrow, dropping the weight of pull to 62 and adjusting for your length of pull has dramatically reduced velocity from the claimed 340fps. Do they test velocity with a crazy light arrow? I have a 31 1/2' draw. About 20 yrs ago I was shooting a PSE Nova with hunting weight carbon arrows and 125gr broadheads at 225 fps with the bow set at 58lbs. Yes, it was an inexpensive bow. I added high quality sites, release, arrow rest, etc and was able to hit a quarter nearly every shot at 25 yrds and stay in the vitals at 60 yds. I look to new bows today with this in mind and the new bows dont impress me much

This bow was tested on another channel out to 32" including speed at ibo, draw force curves and hold...it shot closest to it's rated IBO than ANY flagship 1200-2000 bare bow I seen this year which were usually 20fps under at their 70lb/30"/350 test..this bow did 340 and held damn good with heavier weights in fact its the fastest I seen this year..and it shoots faster than it's rating at 31-32 which most don't even have this year

@frankbrowning328 it's a longer axle to axle so I'd assume that but even at the standard 30" 70lbs 350 arrow that all these channels test at, it LITERALLY come closest to meeting its IBO rating than ALL this year's flagships which under same conditions were 20+ low... For insane the lift 33 is 348 ibo iirc correctly and they got 320 this bow same stats got 338 iirc maybe even the 340, I have to go look again...but get this that was at 68.5lbs the lift was at 71... I asked the guy and he said if he twisted the cables a few times to get it to full 70lbs it would be another 3 or 4fps... It's blazing fast, faster that the bowtechs on performance the core SS anything in the 33 axle to axle ( which I need cause the 29.5s don't go out to my 31.5 draw length)... The bear shoots about 50fps slower than this its wild.... No one has done a decibel test yet, im sure it's not lift quite but they always duck the string a bit anyway who doesn't hold low for that, bet your ass it's no louder than my last bow lol

This bow is a real homerun for Sanlida! If someone is no "Fanboy" of any american brand, well then here´s a killer bow to purchase. To be honest the top tier bowmanufacturers don´t provide any better bows! It doesn´t matter if the 6061 T6 Aluminum comes from USA, Germany or China...its always the same material! It doesen´t even matter from what factory the cnc machined riser commes from becaus the CNC machines are alle the same, even theyr software! ...or are they US made CNC machines or German CNC Machines. Also the Asians are very deep in archery, they are great shooters and they love this kinda sport, so they know how a bow should be constructed. Don´t be so fool and think asians don´t know a shit about archery, Bows, Quality and manufacturing or business. So, the question is, why spending 1400 $ on a US made (naked) Bow, if one can get an awesome bow for a third of this pricetag? Even though you could afford to spend 1400 $ you´d be an idiot, because the guy who buys the Dragon 10 can now buy high end accessories and shoots you out of the water!

@LuskArcheryAdventures I really appreciate your tests. We are brothers in Christ as well!! I have a 2012 Strother rush xt @70 lbs and I shoot 28" draw. It launches 406 grain arrows at 290fps. Shocking really , shot it over the chronograph more than once. It has taken many animals for me. I live and hunt in northern Alberta, Canada.
