CORRUPTED FREQUENCY all depends on where you face the port tbh if he moved his port to fire into the trunk I’m sure SPL would increase a lot in that car

@@corruptedfrequency3373 The guy has an awesome custom built system with a woofer and well done wiring with bolt leads into the box, clean and flush aeroport, alternator and everything wired correctly... and he is a younger guy as well. Hatchback is 1 variable in the system, yea it helps but this kid did a great job with this setup. Better than mine!!

@@ljguy300 Any quality amp should be fine with vibration all day, every day. If it dies, buy a better quality amp. It looks like he used rubber isolation washers, so the amp might outlive him for all we know.

It really bugs me when people go to a show in a dirty ass car..take some pride in your ride..old or ghetto or new and pimp, doesn’t matter..it should still be as clean as possible when showing it off..my shit gonna be immaculate when I show it..baby system or beast doesn’t matter..clean is the way!

Yes I can’t get that last note on Put on! It just goes flat and I hate that! I have two 12 infinity kappa perfect in a sealed 1.25 cu each box. Just will not go to 28hz in that box. If you’re not tuned @30hz or below and your subsonic filter off then you are also missing the 28hz note!

I have a Corolla 2000 And planing to install a new sound system.. and these all the options we have here: Amplifier: sony XM-GTR4A Subwoofer: sony XS-GTX122LT Head unit: sony CDX-G1200U Speakers: sony: Xs-gs6921 Xs-xb130 Xs-xb1641 Xs-fb693e The question is which speakers should I install in the back and which in doors? I honeslty neve ran any of them but Suggest you go with what your gut feels and try them out because usually everyone has their own preference but at the end of the day it's your choice of preference. I had the same amp and I bearly got 1000 clean watts going to my 15 zvx. It.did like the low notes, it just wasn't hard enough of a punch or drop and my zvx needs at least 1500 watts so I think I was hurting the amp by trying to.make it push it like I wanted it to. Love this setup, has a nice clean sound both highs and lows....

I rock 2 custom 15’s Orion hcca’s on Fi audio sp4 baskets bigger roll surround then what I see here but the same triple type flat leads to the 4 inch coils, 5 layer spider packs I didn’t go carbon on my dust caps but the guy who built them does anything you can pay for. I like custom subs cause if the builder has real skill the possible builds are endless along with rebuilds

This gives me hope jacob. Im impressed by single sub systems. Im in process of trying to build my own custom by myself. Cant afford to pay others for what a teue bass head can do with effort. I got the cone and surround. Got the basket. Now i need the coil. I cant find info i need. I need 4 inch coil.

people don't realize that if you have a sedan, hatchback , or small SUV that all you need is a few 8s 10s or single 12 with the proper air space and tuning and clean power and you will put people to shame with 4 12s with a crap setup

So that 6” port should be about 13” long to be tuned at 28 HZ in a 5.7 q3 box. Nice set up. Aim that port to the rear and you’ll gain a few db’s. Keep the sub aimed up.

Question, how do you guys figure out tuning like that? I have built boxes for my self and it sounded decent for what it is but I never knew how to figure out the tuning. Is there a video out that explains it from beginning to end because I have just been building my box to look good and I've been clueless on how to tune the box correctly.

Hey bud I’m not sure what route to go with I have a Single DB Drive 5k 15 in a Q bomb box I’m using a taramps 3000hd ran @ 2ohms the box doesn’t Suit my needs I want it to drop way lower. Not sure what type of box I need I have a 2010 Honda Accord The seats come down but that would suck to always have the seats down. My armrest does open any suggestions on what type of box I need Custom?

What does it matter? The entire car shakes. No matter where that amps it's in the car it's going to shake like crazy. Putting it on the enclosure itself is actually one of the best places in this scenario.

Agreed..most amps literally say that in the instructions..I never mount directly to enclosure unless absolute last resort..and it never is..good call, don’t listen to others. Do what the factory says..✌🏼

@Popcorn Vendor they work pretty good in a sealed but for low-end frequencies I would suggest either at 4th order or 6th order. (4th) Sealed side will always do higher frequencies ported side does low frequencies.

Seth H you are wrong regarding 4th order bandpass enclosures.. W7 can work In almost any enclosure whether sealed, ported, 4th order.. and JL audio will design you an enclosure based on your measurements & space

Seth H you are incorrect again, it depends on the vehicle, sub, & enclosure.. a ported box can be louder and play higher than a bandpass.. Again it depends on the goals for the bandpass whether built for SPL or bandwidth.. In a 4th order bandpass the sealed side controls the low end the ported side is used to filter / tune the high end.. most 4ths are tuned between 38-50 hz.. the ported side in a 4th order acts as a low pass filter Again your statements show your experience & knowledge

Dynamically hifonics are very strong. I've seen some of the older Brutus series amps go 1-2k watts over spec dynamically. The only thing I hate is how they number their wattage... I like to say they put RMS numbers on there but there certified runs are kinda low. Hard to say but at 1 ohm (I've heard they handle .5 ohm pretty well) they always slam. They are not that efficient for a class D though.

the brutus 2400's do a solid 2000-2200 watts. same board design as the soundqubed 2200.

I used to run the old Brutus 1600.1s and they were nice enough. Upgraded to I.A. 20.1s night and day comparison.

A skar rp2000.1 puts out about this much with good wiring and batteries..it’s just as good as this amp and looks way sexier..it’s only like 220$ or so..good day..✌🏼
