I quite literally just ordered this laptop as my first ever gaming laptop. For some context, all I've known and played on has been my Asus vivobook x512da with AMD radeon vega 8 mobile intergrated graphics. For some perspective, that give me BARELY 90 fps on minecraft, of which isn't stable. This video made me happy, thanks :)

Got it 2 days ago. Definitely good on plug in LIKE VERY GOOD but for some reason as soon as i unplug, performance would drop like 80 percent. i know laptops are suppose to do that in general but my old laptop can perform better without the charger which kinda makes me sad.

@@thestealthywave3616 Little to no issues. Only the charging port which gets loose after using for a long time. So take care of that, but otherwise, it's pretty good.

plug the laptop to an external monitor, then you'll have 20-30% performance boost despite the fact that it doesn't have a mux switch because mux switch is meaningless when you connect the laptop to an external monitor.

I got this laptop for $700 CAD ($500 US) and it was perfect, pretty power efficient cpu and gpu all i needed to do was upgrade the ram. BUT we can't have nice things in life and for some reason HP decided to get rid of the 144hz panel and replace it with a 60hz panel, EVEN THOUGH ITS A GAMING LAPTOP!!! I legitimately would of paid the extra 50 bucks for 144hz because of how clean this laptop looks. Now I have to pay an extra 100 for an acer nitro 5 that has the same specs except with a 144hz display and an rtx 3050 but imo looks hideous. Well played HP...

I have the 144 hz model and it had bunch of defective pixels(dark dots), so don't be upset if you missed 144 hz panel, which has very low quality (and bad QC).

This is a very solid PC for the money with a very decent CPU which is probably the most important thing for what you are doing. It's much better than a typical basic laptop that you'll buy for $330. The ram probably should be upgraded to 16gb (or more) though. Unsure the specs but worth checking because sometimes there is a max amount of ram you can upgrade to.

You must be using a ton of programs? I've shut off my apps on start up , back round apps , switched the laptop to " quiet " mode and I get roughly 4 hrs 😅 but that's JUST office stuff i have all my gaming programs suspended and certain things turned down.

@@charlesramirez9283 the max this laptop can hold is 32gbs DDR5 SO-DIMM RAM. make sure you get SO-DIMM RAM, as full size RAM sticks won't fit into any laptop. (SO-DIMM are half the size of full size RAM sticks. you'll be able to tell the difference easily)

I have the exact same model (Victus 15-fb1013dx) and getting random *VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR* blue screen, especially at times right after signing into Windows when the PC is not under any heavy load. BIOS is F.03. Ran plenty of Diagnostic tests in UEFI mode resulted with no error. Is there anyone having same BSOD error here?

You can rep paste it, but you may only save like one or 2° it’s a laptop there’s no real way to dissipate the heat other than throttling your full performance to 80%

Hey, I'm facing an issue regarding performance on the HP Victus 15 Ryzen 5 7535HS / RTX 2050. When I start multitasking, such as coding and using Photoshop simultaneously, with the battery at or above 60%, it doesn't run smoothly. But when I plug in the charger, it starts running smoothly, just like the gaming experience. Why is that? Are there any settings that can fix this?

I am gonna buy a new laptop and stuck between victus and loq. victus comes with R5,8GB RAM, RTX 2050 4GB and 512 SSD. Loq comes with i5- 13420H , 8GB RAM, RTX 3050 6GB ,1TB SSD . I have to spend around additional 140$ for LOQ. is it worth it or should I stick with Victus. I'm not a hardcore gamer btw.

Yes actually 209 fps with shades keep minecraft 6/8 gb ram and it's smooth as butter genshin impact is already good it will run above 100 fps so playable!

Are you talking about battery bro or performance. I have this laptop and it can run games at exact same fps for hours (make sure to check ambient temps and keep a good clearance from bottom surface it will work fine)

I purchased the same model on BestBuy. It has a bunch of dead/defective pixels around the screen which is really unfortunate. Touchpad is generally good and smooth but external mouse pointer is lagging for no reason. I had some BSODs though about AMD iGPU. Windows 11 image shipped with this laptop is really buggy and has glitches especially audio glitches and performance stutters even on light desktop usage. Mine has *F.03 Bios* btw. What bios do you have in this model? (15-fb1013dx)

@@WalterDmllo it doesn't lag when in battery mode even on power saver mode. Browsing is flawless if you have fast connection obviously. Other than battery life which is okay for a gaming laptop everything else is good... Screen is also pretty good with 144 Hz

@@herosteve5986it is good. im a mechanical engineering student, it runs autocad smoothly and older aaa games and competitive titles at good fps. outlast 2 max settings 143.9Hz average. roblox at 110+, sky cotl constantly 144Hz, mortal kombat 11 ultimate, max settings ±60Hz
