Thanks dude for some sick ideas. I also re-panted my helmet quite a number of years ago but without primer or finishing coat, just gloss black all round 3 layers. You need to use a 2k two part clear if you really want that to harden. Also, you need to color sand and polish. That things definitely got orange peel.

Would Mineral Spirits work for cleaning off the helmet as well? I have lots of that and no Acetone.

Question, shouldn't you stick the stickers on and then spray the top coat?

Next time try a white primer. It will brighten your base coat.

If you want a respirator to work like it should. A mask has to directly fit the bare skin. You have to get rid of facial hair. Otherwise, it doesn't work like it should if you're trying to breathe in 0 contaminates.
