This video is a contiunation of my mini kitchen makeover (makeover 57 and a half!)
The lovely Create Your World gifted me this beautiful Ribbeck Oak sticky back plastic to use on my worktops in this video and I feel it’s completly transformed the feel and look. I’m so obsessed with the wooden decor feel around my home at the moment!

I don't know why but seeing you do this and cutting it at the corners reminds me of high school and having to wrap our exercise books in paper and trying to make sure it wasn't too tight when you closed the book again 🤣

I cheated, I went straight to the end result, I could not resist, now watching back, Would love to praise your taste and ability, and I do, however ,I also want to note my personal gratitude for the note to safety you added regarding safe use of a blade etc. What a trooper!! Truly! This was a fab shout and you have perfectly blended and super subtle but effective looking finish now. Well done you, thanks for sharing with us. Beautiful. Hope this finds you well poppet

Looks great! A few years ago I covered my then under-counter fridge and freezer with white D-C-Fix and you would never have known. In February I covered six doors in my hallway, and the handrail in woodgrain and my daughter thought I’d had new doors and rail fitted. This time I used a plastic window cleaning tool (shaped like a ruler with a rubber strip across the top). It made the job so much easier (especially working vertically), and was gentler on the surface, so less chance of marking it.

Oh nice! It’s such great stuff isn’t it! I have always been tempted to cover my doors with a woodgrain one to be fair; glad it’s worked out well for you :D And great idea with the window cleaner tool!

To do the corner, cut a square out and they will come together.

I bought the sideboard from Facebook marketplace and upcycled it to match in with my kitchen. The dcfix is Ribbeck Oak. Do it! 😁

Looks nice but grain running wrong way on different sections which would annoy me, but other than that it's a nice colour

I think you mean in the corner, you kinda have to switch it to the other way when you reach there so that it then goes the right way for the sink section. I'm so happy with it anyway 😊

I noticed that the grain goes different ways on each side of your cooker ! That would probably bother me

It isn't... It changes on the sink side but that makes sense to me. Both sides of the cooker are the same ☺️
