@@mrssummersbudgetsinsurance should be a sinking fund. I didn’t see a line item for gas for your cars. You also need a line item for car repairs such as wiper blades, brakes, tires, insurance deductibles in case of an accident. Do you have pets? If so, they also need a line item.

@@lindamoore8850 hi Linda, thanks for watching. We pay our car insurance in full from our magic month paycheck. We have a category in our variable expenses for cars which encompasses all things car related and a pet category that covers all things for our 2 dogs and 9 hens. Check out my 2024 budget category video where I go into more detail. We do have a pet sf that I put 40 into every month to cover our dogs annual vet visits, we use to have pet insurance that costs us 80 a month so we cancelled it and now save 40 a month for them

Hi, thanks so much for watching. I feel the same way regarding debt but If there's one thing I've learned, you've gotta save or you're going to end up right back in debt when something comes up. Maybe do 70/30 or 50/50 debt and savings until you get to a comfortable place.

Hi, presently, no. We had our solar folks come back out bc our bill w fpl was so high in the summer even though we had the panels and they said we'd need another 9 or something to cover what we use. Interest rates have gone up so we'd have had 2 loans at 2 rates to add more and it wasn't worth it to us. We don't have battery back up so we are at the mercy of the sun which surprisingly its been pretty cloudy in fl the last 6 months lol. If I could do it over I wouldn't have gotten the panels, we owe 50k and still have a significant fpl bill every month. If u have fpl I think u can sign up for a solar program w them that doesn't require u to buy panels. I'd check that out instead.
