Engine 28 on scene 2.5 story dwelling smoke showing from attic. Attack crews make entry from front door up to Attic. B-46 updates that crews need to make entry from rear to access attic. Truck 14 vents stepdown in rear, while Truck 10 vents main bldg on #4 side of roof. B-56 requests extra 2&1 to scene for manpower. Rescue 1 reports heavy fire above their heads in cockloft running in the stepdown. Fire partially drops down on #2 side on to 2nd floor. Extensive overhaul required.

Watching the video at about 3:00, and wondering why they didn't extend that ground ladder more! Always have 4-5 rungs above the roof line if possible. Doing otherwise is just dangerous and poor training!

Buffalo rarely uses a Truck's bucket or stick to access roof. They always vent by manually climbing up

E28 pulled past the house which is exactly what it should of done. Seems like no relayed to the truck company that they should of went around the block and come in the other way.

We had an apartment fire and we took two lines in and pull the ceiling tile down without cutting a hole in the roof and put it out immediately and save the other apartment next door. No fire damage to the next door apartment

Yes they need to learn a lot I took a line in went up there started pulling the tile down exposing the roof frames and knocking the fire down. You do not have to cut a vehicle on every structure fire you go to.

@@thenussbaum44 They shouldnt be anywhere near the roof in those conditions. Absolute madness. You have a nice window at the front which is high in the gable so use that to vent. No point injuring firefighters for no reason. This is why you have the worst figures for LODD and seriously injured of any developed country.

Once again, the homeowner leaves a vehicle right in the driveway! Could've moved it up to, into the garage. Or down the street. Give these guys room to work! It's your house they are trying to save!

@@psdesert7907 Sure, that's possible. It's just if you watch enough of these, it's pretty common that vehicles that could be moved out of the way, aren't.

Yes, how dare they have a vehicle in the driveway. Ever think maybe they were panicking, seeing as their house is on fire and shit, and the first thing on their mind wasn't to move a god damn car. If you can't work around a vehicle, find another occupation. Jesus, people whine about anything.
