@@tmtactics6490 So, AL has a good point. But I'd like to add here that I would keep the lifestraw as well. While the Sawyer Squeeze Mini is my go to at all times, it's best used when you have the time to stop and relax at a water source to filter water. If you're on the move and worried about stopping for longer than a drink of water, or you run low on already filtered water, you can use the lifestraw as a pocket filter instead of getting out the Sawyer and taking time to filter water. Like having a water bottle in your pocket, it can help save your already filtered water as well if you happen upon a stream or puddle and just need a quick drink, saving your filtered water for while you're on the move between water sources. Though for during camp times, the Sawyer is certainly the better option for filtering larger amounts of water quicker. Particularly if you use good quality squeeze bags, the ones that come with the Sawyer filter aren't the best quality. The ones I had quickly fell apart at the seams, so I prefer to use a standard thread 1L water bottle for dirty water during filtering.

Hey R Mac thank you for your feed back it was very valuable, I looked into the rush 72 and believe me I want it lol but at the moment I'll settle for my rush 24, I didn't think about ways of cleaning mess kit and including a scrub pad would be great I might even add antibacterial wipes too. That external water bottle holder is a great idea, I just like to keep a slim profile as much as I can, good idea about the radio as well I might look into buying some extra model batteries for the radio too. @@tmtactics6490 Instead of going with a bag mounted water bottle pouch, you can actually find belt mounted water bottle pouches that can still be attached to your bag if needed. Though I would recommend getting a single wall steel water bottle as the plastic bottles can deteriorate and leech chemicals into the water after prolonged use and they can get punctured fairly easily if dropped on rough terrain.

Hey John thanks for your feed back, I try to abide by the grey man theory as much as I can and I totally agree with you. Only thing is I don't at the moment have a ultimate urban style bag that fits my requirements but I'm still on the look out for one, granted lots more people these days have tactical looking bags, but it wouldn't be the smart thing to do because tactical screams prepared 👍

I think that the survival belt/ suspenders is quite a smart idea and usually I carry a belt with my tool on it but this is more advanced and more reliable. I added a short pice of water hose with the ability to attach it to a water faucet I can fill my water blatter -& bottles and not waist water or have a tattletale wet spot saying get water here or give away my water source .

Hey that’s a good idea. The only thing with bottled water is that it is preserved and as soon as I put the water into a metal container ild have to find a way of keeping it from “going bad” and having a bottle of water is just easier for me. I have a water filter in the bag and I’ll be putting a small metal bottle in there too so i will be able to boil water. Thanks for your feed back it helps a lot 🤙

Hey Jeff, POW training Is to do with restraining prisoners of war or suspicious people that could be detremental to the mission. We touch on this during Army basic training where you capture the enemy and have to detain them, I would like to do that escape and survival course tho definitely up my alley way 😉

Hi there Cheryl, so I got the tarp of a website called Trade me which is one of the go to sites for online shopping if your in NZ (which I am) this is kinda like the Australia and New Zealand version of Amazon or eBay, I have a hand written list of all the content but I haven’t had the time to make a PDF, I do have a USB with docs and photos and certificates on etc but that’s on my key chain, the emergency radio i think is discontinued and from Katmandu (got it on clearance) when there were a few left and can’t find it anywhere now, I didn’t have a power bank in that video but I do now and the spare batteries are in sealed seperate bag in the black tool pouches that I did another video on those are some good questions and thanks for commenting I hope these answers are useful to you.

Hey mate cheers for your comment, the pupil touch is there to asses the patient for TBI or any kind of major head injury as well as a general assessment light. Epilepsy is usually triggered with fast moving light or people are aware of it and take their medication etc. Good thought tho, will keep in mind.

Hey there cheers for the input. Nah I haven’t spent 3 days in a urban SHTF situation yet because my country is luckily not like that however things could change and nothing is certain, I have spent a good day out of a similar bag and I felt that in the given situation the equipment I have chosen will help the over all situation, not just the essentials for living but additional stuff to get through. Why have a small amount of stuff in a big bag for the bare essentials if you can bring more and are capable of lugging it around. However I do appreciate the feed back and I hope ya keep safe out there. 🤙

@@tmtactics6490 I can tell you, you don't need three radios with you, you don't need all those glow sticks, maybe not even the compass. The food is on the go, no use for all those cooking equipment. Take only ready to eat emergency food, enough for three days. The ear plugs may be your worst enemy. Ditch them. You need instead at least a poncho liner that can be transformed in a sleeping bag, a poncho is wellcome too, an universal key like the Knipex one heps you to have access in metro underground spaces. You need to think more seriously to update to a gas mask. And what I really missed was a good pairs of knee protections. I tell you all this because I was in this kind of situation. And I forgot. A flask of whiskey is a moral booster.

@@tmtactics6490 I think what Schiaucu Gabriel might be suggesting is to do a dry run practice bug out. Think of it as a three day mini holiday. This will at least give you an idea of what works and what don't. The important thing is to take notes the whole time. Memory has a habit of not remembering a situation exactly as it was. So write everything down, no matter how unimportant it may seem. You have a better start then most people. By the looks of the comments you got a lot of help. Remember, at the end of the day it's all about you and your loved ones safety and security.

Hey there, the range Is dependant on the environment but out in the open there about 2-5km and in urban environments there around 1-2km, I don’t use them as a long distance device, just as short range coms so your don’t have to yell in a urban environment 😊

Hey there, that is true however in NZ you can also get into trouble with carrying around any type of knife-without a good enough excuse. That means if you can say that for example you carry a pocket knife on you because you use it all the time and use it at work all the time etc then that’s fine, but even if you have something like a craft knife that you don’t have an excuse to carry around, you can get done with the police. Stay safe out there 🤙

That is in reference to me not needing to explain what you could use a light for as there are many ideas.

@@tmtactics6490 I feel that, dude I made a BOB kit also with a 511 bag and it’s awesome! I used only the “10C’s of survivability” and it’s the best kit ever! I’ve used it multiple times on 3 day trips in remote wilderness areas and you’ll realize very fast whats absolutely necessary and what’s not! I highly recommended using your kit and practice using everything in the bag you won’t regret it!:) You’ll learn so much more then what’s on the surface. Go out and get it!!!:) thanks for sharing!
