Get ready for our greatest drag race EVER… Bugatti Chiron vs Red Bull F1 Car!!
We’re sure we don’t need to tell you, but the stats on both of these cars are out of this world! Starting with the Chiron, it’s powered by a humungous 8-litre quad-turbo W16, which pumps out an astronomical 1,500hp & 1,600Nm of torque! It’s pretty heavy though, weighing in at 1,995kg.
And then we come to the F1 car. This is no ordinary F1 car though - it’s the 2011 world-championship winning RB7! Powered by a 2.4-litre naturally-aspirated V8, it can put down 750hp. Think it’s therefore at a disadvantage compared to the Chiron’s huge W16? Well don’t forget it’s built out of carbon fibre and weighs just 650kg!

I think teams should be allowed to 'homologate' their GP cars, like produce maybe 10-20 of each model for sale, and sell them to some most crazy (wealthy ofc) petrolheads out there. It will be both beneficial for their image and for the car public as more such races will be possible.

More like how they are optimized. They so light yet so powerful and yet that's not even their biggest strength. The best is the aero , they bring so much more speed in corners compared to any cars. And at the same time can reach almost 400km/h (with drs and slipstream). All of this while not pushing their cars to the limit as they have to follow FIA limitations while creating their cars

⁠@@Jamesyyxfefonly thing the bugatti is faster at is top speed, which is pretty useless. Take them both around a race track and the bugatti wont see it again after the first corner until about 2 laps later when the F1 car flies past the bugatti when lapping it.

Drag racing isn't a great way of judging the pinnacle of automotive engineering lol. Otherwise dragsters would be the pinnacle. F1 cars are probably the closest thing to the pinnacle because not only can they do everything, they can do everything at an elite level. In the context of driving around circuits they are untouchable.

Well, it is much more difficult making a 400+km top speed car that could do the school run at the same time. For many years long. F1 cars are hands down, engineering masterpiece, but only focused on racing. Same goes to tuned cars, stick a big turbo, a few more mods, there you go - 1500 bhp. Make it reliable though, this is true engineering.

It’s also much more difficult for a drone to keep up with these kinds of speeds. One of the faster drone on the market can only reach about 60mph and these cars go a little bit faster than 60

The current design of the Halo is so well integrated with the current gen cars, it looks great. It was only the first gen Halos that looked ugly as shit (still a necessity, as proven time after time)

@@davidspendlove5900 the red bull rb11 went 0-60 in 1.7 secs and Bottas hit the highest top speed in f1 in 2016 at 231 mph. Tesla’s fastest car of of now, goes 2.5 secs 0-60 and has a top speed of 200 mph. The tesla plaid that tesla claims goes 0-60 in 1.98 secs is “only under some incredibly specific Tesla-dictated conditions” as stated by Motor Trend who tested it out in a test track. That means that the tesla plaid won’t go 0-60 in 1.98 secs on street. Looking at the numbers a Formula one car would absolutely destroy a tesla in acceleration and top speed even Tesla’s plaid model which can’t even reach it’s full potential in a street legal road or in normal conditions…

I know the Bugatti lost but I'm still shocked because it is a 2 TON can and one of the MOST LUXURIOUS car in the world with 2 people in it while that f1 is a light weight car weighing 800kg with almost everything made of carbon fibre with insane downforce and tires and still the bugatti was doing really well. Now that's what I call IMPRESSIVE

Wow I'm impressed with the Bugatti! I wasn't expecting it to win from the rolling start but it truly does go fast. It's cool seeing the difference that weight and aerodynamics makes. These cars couldn't look more different but both extremely fast.

Unbelievable. BUT why bring the slowest straight line F1 car 😭😭😭?!? A pre 2006 V10 with 1000hp would have been much much quicker and with no rev limiter and a Monza wing it wouldn't have topped out at 305kph either, be more like 375kph in the rolling mile, or a 2016 turbo/hybrid cars with close to 1000hp and a more narrower and streamlined chassis than current F1 cars, those cars also can go over 370kph, both the V10 and V6 turbo would have been about 1sec faster in the 1/4 mile if they could use the DRS for the V6 and a low drag setup for a 2003-2005 V10.

The V8's are significantly more durable and reliable without the engine complexity of the modern hybrids, making them better suited to these promo things Red Bull gets involved with. The old V10's would take a lot of work. When Alonso drove his R25 again, Renault said they couldn't put a limiter on it or drive it carefully because the engine won't operate well; it was full beans or nothing. If you watch any of Red Bulls promo stuff, it's almost always in those V8s.

Redbull does promos with V8s is because apart from the Ferrari V10 in 2005 they have no other, I just doubt being a basic customer that year Ferrari would allow Redbull to use those engines, it's not as if Ferrari can't either seen as their Clienti programme allows the rich to run many of their V10s, V12s sometimes at full power if the price is right, and the V10s of the Ferrati from 2003-2004 were fiendishly powerful and fast, Schumacher on a dragstrip in the soaking wet racing against the Eurofighter in a 600 metre run I believe ran a 9.4s @ 315kph and if the tarmac was dry I'm sure its be about 9s which would be quicker quicker to the 600 metre mark than this run here to a 400 metre mark, which is a ridiculous difference, the Renault R25 can't be that hard to run if they also gave it to Richard Hammond to taste the full 1000hp, and we all know from that 2005 season the R25 was THE fastest accelerating F1 car in THE fastest year of F1 car acceleration. These detuned runs on the slowest F1 car in a straight line for 35 years doesn't show F1 in a good light, people saying the Rimac is faster, bikes are faster, tuned cars are faster blah blah blah, all we needed was that R25 or a F2004 and use super soft tyres with minimum downforce and drag, sacrifice an engine do a time of 7.8-8.4 depending on condition and shut these idiots up but instead this...

That´s because you don´t win races in F1 because of the straights , F1 are designed to gain seconds on each lap and explosive acceleration in a short time. The straight in the circuits are short and don´t allow you to reach more than 330 Km/h.So they are not designed to go faster on long straightaways because there aren`t any.

You'll need Murcielago with IPE exhaust, or Aventador with Stardropper exhaust. I mean, watch effspot video for that Aventador at Suzuka. The flyby sound is mental.
