was checking out the v-5 found ur video.. it looked like the fender amp power light was on. and i didnt see the power light on for the v-5... also, this video sounds alot cleaner and more musical than the other v-5 videos.. any chance u forgot or didnt realize u were playing thru the fender? AND REALLY ENJOYED UR PLAYING BTW!

i am getting this amp, i was told to change the tubes. I am looking for a great clean tone you seam to have a nice tone but it is kinda dark. that is what a lot of people say about it that the tone is on the dark side. This is a great video to show its a kinda dark but you can work with it thank you. oh yea did you change the tubes or is this all stock??

I just got the V5 and still trying to dial it in. I’m playing a Grestch with Broadtrons

Hi Joe ; well i didn't change anything on the amp.The tubes are all stock. The amp sounds dark, i agree. Even when i plug it into other cabinets (high quality cabinets), it remains dark. You can't get a crystal-clear sound (Fenderish tone), i must say. But you can get nice tones nevertheless. Tell me if you get a solution, and/or make a quick video. Regards, Georges

The chords from the last part of the video ... were they from a song? Sounded great.

going from the bugera 12ax7 to a 12 ay7 or 12at7 will clean it up, the stock power tube are known to be ok. i see guy's go with jj El84 for the power when they do change it out. i been told a speaker change is the best upgrade to get a full warm tone and less dark/box sounding. i'm buying the amp in a few days going with new tubes , then go from there. there is known issues with these but for 200.00 its worth it. they first came out and where like 130.00 but i think those had a lot of issues..

Ah ah, well i'm not senile yet despite my 53'. I really was playing through the V5 ; maybe the Fender power light was on, but my wire was plugged into the V5. The reflexion of the natural light coming from my windows was fading the power light of the V5, i think. Well, if you're looking for a small tube amp, don't hesitate ! Regards ;-)

Nice what attenuation setting was it on and where did you place the zoom recorder in the video?
@geo08597 жыл бұрын
Hi Beakf 1, Nothing special ; you can see the setting on the knobs, and the Zoom was on my bed. No secrets on my videos : the truth is my goal. :)

@geo08593 жыл бұрын
@@Olegstuff21986 Mais, personnellement, la bonne formule pour jouer en appartement, c'est par exemple : un multi-effet comme le Nux mg300 branché dans une paire de moniteurs studio.

@geo08593 жыл бұрын
@@norbertogustavoblanco1700 Yes it is a good mate : especially for clean sound or light drive. Then i changed the tube : AU7 instead of AX7. A 10" speaker would have been better.

I know I’m late but have you changed any of the tubes in this amp? I’m about to get this as my first tube amp but it’s hard to buy tubes in my country.

There's a vid where a guy swaps the 12ax7 for a 12ay7 and gets a very clear clean sound. He says the idea is to make it better for jazz and r and b but the main thing I noticed was how clean it could sound.
