My son and daughter bought some land in Colorado near Durango not quite as heavily forested as this. They are bow hunters too.

@Born and Raised Outdoors - Hi guys, I'm absolutely new to your channel. I found you via HUSH and am now addicted and binge watching your videos, haha. I am not a hunter, but I respect it and enjoy watching the thought process, strategies, teamwork, and game plans involved. Because I am so unaware of what's involved in a backcountry trip like this, I hope my asking a question isn't wrong, out of turn, or that it isn't a stupid one. Here goes. I notice that when you are carrying the meat out (or just walking in the woods) that your bows are strapped to your packs. If you were to encounter a bear or wolf pack or another animal that was hungry or angry, do you not carry a gun as well? It would be awful hard to get your bow off in time to defend yourselves in the event an animal decided to attack. Now, I realize that most animals are more afraid of us than we think, but if you are carrying a freshly harvested elk, it could be different, couldn't it? I don't see a gun, or hear any talk of having one in the event you need one. Is there a reason for that? Again, I hope this isn't a stupid question. Anyone aware of the answer please feel free to fill me in. I realize the BRO guys aren't likely to see this, so any info is appreciated. Pls remember I mean no disrespect but am trying to learn more. If I could have taken up hunting in my life I would have loved to, I realize now that I've seen these videos. It's too late for me, but I still enjoy watching these, so thank you for sharing these! Why won't the bears, coyotes, etc not go after your hung meat, especially if you're all nighting it?

I know you guys need to get footage and that’s one of the main reasons you have the channel, but I feel like when you’re within 100 yds the cameraman needs to stop moving so damn much. I watched the whole LOTF series and I saw it a few times there too.

You guys are chasing the wind and not bulls Find a spot where the wind isn't circling around you and call the bulls to you...this is how you hunt in the mountains
