search for the original song: (Babla & Kanchan -Chaadar Beechaow Baalma) and look in the comments. there you find the translation.

The original was actually written by Sundar Popo (from Trinidad) in 1980 ! It was released on his album "Hot & Spicy", which featured Anup Jalota Kanchan and Babla , toured Trinidad, and met him, and learned the song !

really? this song is famous in Colombia? The original is performed by a group called Babla and Kanchan. The language is Caribbean Hindustani, a variation of Bhojpuri (a language found in India). Here are the lyrics and English translation, enjoy! Lyrics and translation were first mostly done by Kaypee Tiwari below. Chādar bichhāo balamā - by Sundarlāl Popo Bahurā (ṛ ā ū ī) 0.(Refrain) Chādar bichhāo balamā, chaundariyā, chādar bichhāo balamā; nīnd lage chale soye rehanā, nīnd lage chale soye rehanā. (both lines, 2) Spread the bed-sheet beloved. Yes, my handsome darling, spread the bed-sheet beloved; and sleep as long as you want (wish to). 1. More sasurjī ke doi doi mahaliyā (2); sabse sundar hamāro mehalā. Chaundariyā, chādar bichhāo balamā; nīnd lage chale soye rehanā (2).(Refr) My father-in-law has two houses (mansions); but ours is the nicer one. 2. More sasurji ke doi doi palanghiyā (2); sabse sundar hamāro palanghā. Chaundariyā, chādar bichhāo balamā; nīnd lage chale soye rehanā (2).(Refr) My father-in-law had two beds; but we got (ours is) the better one. 3. More sasurji ke doi doi betāuvā (2); sabse sundar hamāro balamā. Chaundariyā, chādar bichhāo balamā; nīnd lage chale soye rehanā (2).(Refr) My father-in-law has two sons; but my beloved is the more wonderful one. 4. More sasurji ke doi doi patohiyā (2); sabse sundar hamāro jiyadā. Chaundariyā, chādar bichhāo balamā; nīnd lage chale soye rehanā (2).(Refr) My father-in-law has 2 daughters-in-law; but I, myself, am the more beautiful one.

@@dannybans23 Kanchan and Babla , learned this song, while in Trinidad. It was writtien By Sundar Popo, and it featured Anup Jalota. It was first released in 1980, on his album "hot & spicy" .. Trinidad is very close to Colombia , that might explain how this song was heard by Colombians .. This song is very very famous in Guyana and Suriname , as well ! Sundar Popo would have performed in Suriname and Guyana.

De donde la influencia árabe, si suriname pertenece a las Antillas neerlandesas.
@ivanverbel667211 ай бұрын
De hecho es influencia india. En Surinam los neerlandeses trajeron mano de obra de la india y el sudeste asiático en tiempos de la colonia.
