It makes her body look a lot healthier. Maybe dats also her tanning that helps her look like that way. But I love it! It makes her look healthier and sexier. SO many kpop idols just look super skinny, they have beautiful bodies, but its mostly just skinny and pale. to all those people fighting over hyolyn's body type, this is a thought of mine, she is not as thicc as most of the 'thicc girls' and not as skinny as the 'skinny legends' she's got a really 'balanced' and rather healthy body. and one thing more, some people in korea, not in WHOLE ASIA, sees her as a 'thicc' person due to the korean beauty standard. so to those who say she is not thicc, you've got a point because she isn't as thicc as those girls you see, and to those who say she's skinny, look again because she isn't really skinny at all.

I'm gonna rant. im so proud. I don't see how anyone could get offended. she delivered sexiness so effortlessly and movements so wow but understated. just so classy. she even delivered vocal to remind you. we gotta love the diversity. I don't see obnoxious culturally appropriated bantu knots or whatever. hyo pushed herself and got new choreo // no purplow. she's exposing herself with connections outside Korea and isn't offending her new audience.

__ Asdfghjkl : I agree with you for the most part. I can, also, see how some people may not like the video or dance because it is very sexy. I personally like it a lot, because she can pull it off without looking like she is pandering to a male audience. The choreo & video actually seems more targeted to people who appreciate a woman who is in command of her sexuality & sensuality. She is obviously a talented singer & dancer who excels and revels in her feminine sexuality. I wonder if she will be performing on stage in S. Korea. If she is, she will need to tone down the sexy choreography. I am curious to see how they will change it.

I'd love to totally agree with at all point, but not in a matter of if this mv is culturally appropriate for south korea content (it is not) I'm just affraid of the strong influence of the usa in this mv. How should I explain myself... I have nothing against the sexy and sensual concept, it has always been her concept and she pull it off perfectly I have absolutely no problem with that. I have don't have any problem with the mv or the choreography in itself. It just that I feel like I'm watching one of these overcommercialised mv from the usa like she had just lost her south korea origin and go for an american image so she can gain in... I don't know, popularity ? in the usa musical industry ? I just hope it was what she truly wanted to do and that it was not like a fake mv where she just want to "copy" american celebrities to the point where she lost her identity as an artist

What I really love about Hyolyn's sexiness is that she does it with so much confidence and ease. While other idols look uncomfortable or like it was an image solely for the male audience to appreciate, it makes me really happy to see her truly doing things of her own free will. Plus her moves take so much skill to pull off - it's not the typical kpop sexy choreo where they just shake their butts or spred their legs a few times.
