I remember buying Trunk full of cartons when driving through Idaho for only $50....smoking is CRAZY! Now I much rather buy a trunk full of bibles....leather ones to sniff😂

Same here, really. I'm on a fixed income, I'm not a TV person, I don't care to buy smokes, I don't believe in credit cards...(actually, my vice is food ;)) I'm a very occasional drinker (and use alcohol more for cooking than drinking) so those things don't drain my wallet.

What wrong with the KJV. That all I collect mostly along with Strong exhaustive concordances, Vine Bible dictionaries

David Fl I’m not affiliated with them though I’m in great relationship with many and align with most of their beliefs. I was actually 1st ordained as an Anglican though I tend to work more in non-denom and inter-denom charismatic circles. ... it was Anglicans that discipled the famed Pentecostal Smith Wigglesworth into the baptism of the Holy Spirit 🤓 -whom I also read and love.

they just released them recently, I haven't seen them sold out yet... I think it's safe to say that everything right now is 1st edition (printing) for the Canterbury. -The next one in the Canterbury family is the personal size due next month.

Hey! Love to just know what the books are on your yellow shelves. I recognise the IVP Bible Commentary Series but not alot else! ;)

Alright yellow shelf: Above what's visible( which you may have seen in other videos) is the New American Commentary. On the top shelf is D.M. Lloyd-Jones on Ephesians (left) & Romans (on the right) with a Septuagint and a D.L. Moody biography laying on top. The black series is the pulpit commentary. The white volume is the Haley's Bible Handbook. The red volume to the left of the IVP set is The Four Views of Revelation Commentary. That's all the academic books on that shelf, everything else is either a bible, or other books from John Lake, Smith Wigglesworth, David Wilkerson, Andrew Murray, Isaac Ambrose, St. John of The Cross, William Gurnall, Stephen Charnock, D.M. Lloyd-Jones (Sermon on the Mount), Bonhoeffer, and Reinhardt Bonnke, among others. I suppose if your're familiar with all those names, you know I pull from a wide variety of people who love the Lord.

I agree. Prayer is it and tools should never replace a prayer life. The commentaries and other tools have value when kept in the proper place (even the vast numbers of things I disagree with or feel is incomplete). -thanks

I agree completely. People who ignore those who came before us, who throw away 1900 years of bible study and rely solely on their own understanding will often end up with heretical doctrinal viewpoints. This is in fact how many cults have started. Yes God will guide our understanding but he has also provided for a great cloud of witnesses and teachers that we ignore at our own peril.
