Hey Phil. I built the original (amt I think) Enterprise and Klingon Warship back sometime between 69 and 71I think. I was too young and carefree to be bothered with painting - they were toys to me, and they both ended up severely "battle damaged". The Enterprise saucer section ended up being a very short-lived frisbee 😂

That turned out really good! I kind of llike the engine lights, !

I have the big Playmates (toy) version of this, which someone repainted pretty nicely. eBay find a while back. Can’t remember if the wings are adjustable… may have to go upstairs and try it. I prefer the look of them in the up position. (A few moments later…) Nope. Fixed in lower position. Boo. Hiss. Guess I’ll have to build one of these kits! Yay. Woo.

One of the many things that I am not very good at is 'dry brushing'.... I have one of the wargaming Warhammer buildings, (Middle Earth, waterside/fishing vilage) buildings that I will get back to at some stage, but it really requires a lot of dry brushing,.... But other things get in the way and take over. ... I'm kind of learning as I go along, about getting the aged wood effect... I'm sure I'll get somewhere with it once I get my modeling MoJo back! Always good to watch you and Lou building your models. Well done with the Silver for you Dalek!

Fantastic build, probably one of the best kits Round2/AMT released. You could say screen accurate because I'm sure I read somewhere that the model was used in some DS9 episodes.

I remember building this back in the day, I agree, with a little bit of fettling it's a nice-looking model,and the watch parts was a great shout 😉👌

Another top notch build Phil love the lighting it's there but not in your face, you have given me an idea on getting the guns firing when i build mine i will look at replacing the barrels with tubing of the same diameter and thread fibre optics through them, looking at yours i think there's enough space to do that but a great build Phil, it really is

Very nice job, Phil. Your blending work, I thought, was particularly good, and the beauty shot from directly above really highlighted that. I also really like your philosophy of doing it the way you want. These are fictional subjects for cryin' out loud! I'm building a "What if" right now and enjoying the freedom from counting rivets.

I enjoyed this build from start to finish-- I like your philosophy of taking a screen shot and adding some extra to that. Why not. The lighting is good-- I don't think the "floods" are floody enough. The metal legs are a response to the first couple of decades' worth of complaints that the styrene version was too weak and led to model collapse! But they do look good. I don't like your rock, Sir! Not rocky enough. But everything else is pretty cool.

Hi Phil...i love what you did with the Bird of Prey...looks really sharp. Love the colors, lights, and the overall appearance. The lights were a nice touch as well. Another job well done. Im still working on the 350 enterprise refit...slow, and steady. Had a little set back with the shuttlebay cargo door decals...they fell apart on me, so i ordered replacements. Love the new opening, and closing as well. Looking forward to your next build, until then...be safe, be well, now build something. 😊
