I always love every time you start a build saying you won't add lights, and then by the end it's got a ton of them in there. 😁

Wow Phil...Wow...that is a complex kit. Those books look like novels...LOL. It is a beautiful kit for sure and man this is going to be huge! I do wish you would light the engines though Phil! You don't have to do the whole ship but lighting the engines would be pretty awesome and elevate the overall presentation! I wish you luck! I know it will turn out great as your other models Phil! Looking forward to seeing this journey develop!

Wow, the little 1/350 Bandai Millenium Falcon is in scale when docked to the frigate.

WOW, that an awesome ship...out of my league. Too bad you couldn't put just a few blinky/nav lights in it, and run them off a 9 volt battery, it might add a little life to the ship. That's a big ship...you might have to park it in your garage😁. Looking forward to watching part 2 of the build. Be safe, be well, and build something.😊

That's quite the kit. Rather unwieldy but very impressive. I think I would rather deal with this one over the Sandcrawler that you and Lou wrestled with recently. I have the feeling you'll finish it faster than you think once you're fully into the the design. Very much looking forward to seeing more on this one, it's a stunner!

I have my JPG Medical Frigate still in the box, but I will be watching this series of videos with great interest. I can't let this expensive kit sit in it's box, either, and will probably start on it sometime this year.

Clearly if you want to take that to a show you would need to build it so you can take it apart in sections and reassemble it there. That is a beast but a very unique build, looks like it will be a whole lot of fun to detail. Not sure where you will put it though. 😜

"Bite size," "20 minutes" -- yeah! *Quite* the undertaking, Phil! That central pipe should run the entire length of the ship. I would drill out the ends and procure a very, very solid piece of rod. Since you know you're not lighting-- then a solid rod. I don't know what it is, but those acrylic stands -- for any subject -- sets my teeth on edge. I would see if it were possible to drill into the side of the ship/rod system and figure out (weld, drill and tap, make skinny rod assembly, attach hooks for ceiling display, etc.) something from there. In the alternate shot of your workshop, I spotted a nice window with nothing mounted on the top! Perfect spot for this monster. Difficult subject-- I find my appetite for these 'bites' is already gut-grinding!

Definitely a project I’ll prefer to enjoy vicariously. It’s just far too big for the space I live in and would probably require a case to safely protect it from the random dangers of life. One elbow and that would be another victory for the empire. 😅

Once all the main glueing is done you should use a hair dryer and do a stress relief heat on it

I'd recommend checking out Nick Sagan's builds of this model. (Actually, he might have made his own version) You'll get build and paint ideas and that all important inspiration to keep going!. It's a beautiful kit. Looking forward to seeing this come together! SUBSCRIBED

Nice monster kit, Phil. Some of those gaps could be fixed with clamps perhaps or a good dip in hot water to reshape? Have you seen the merlin studios line of kits - very similar in size. I have the AT-AT and Blockade runner… unbuilt of course!

Hi Phil that is one serious kit to build . I already like it and can't wait to see how you deal with it and bring out its beauty. Phill the parts that make up the ship that you add to the skeleton, are they all solid or hollow or a mix ? Would it be difficult to add extensive lighting to it? Have you decided on a paint scheme yet?
