Cake! Definitely listened to the whole thing. Funny thing is that my Ruan Mei is already built and I have been using her non-stop since she first came out, so there was no real reason for me to click this video when YT recommended it to me. But for some reason I did anyway and I'm glad I did because your explanations were amazing! Also, I commend you for listing out options for light cones, teams and relic sets instead of just listing out the theoretical BiS and second BiS. This is by far your biggest differential compared to most other cc that I know of and made me immediately sub. Amazing guide overall. I already have Ruan Mei and I maaay consider pulling for her E1 in the future, but currently I'm probably gonna go for her signature - that signature is by far the best light cone in the whole game imo: extremely versatile, does a lot and allows me to give Memories of the Past to harmony trailblazer instead. Incredible value, and I don't want to pass on it again. Thanks for such a fantastic guide!

Yep this exactly. I don't normally even pull light cones. but since I only have an S3 of the Gacha 4* I need to pull on Ruan Mei's lightcone banner just so her and Harmony MC don't fight. All the destruction characters also want the Herta shop lightcone. The difference is you usually only run 1 destruction character at a time. Whereas Mei and HTB not only run at the same time but on the same team.

I Use memory on ruan mei and use bronya lc on HMC and it work really well . I have around 230% be even without a be lightcone

@@Noaxid so why does that work well though? Am I missing something? She doesn't need energy Regen because of E6. Unless your specifically running firefly you probably don't need the skill points, and being that firefly's been out for like only a day I'd assume you're not talking about that. And my understanding is superbreak is not boosted by damage multiplyers. So the damage gained will be inconsequential.

And thank you for this guide, I started this game right after Ruan Mei's first banner ended, and after looking at all the characters, I thought to myself "Oh. She's pretty. 100% getting that character when she runs." Now we're here. Happy that she's not just pretty, but game changing. I've been waiting for this moment so long, thank the heavens we're finally here.

To top it off, in teams that use Ruan Mei that isnt Super Break. If you have her light cone too you could also forego using dmg% planar spheres for atk% instead since Ruan Mei gives over 90% dmg bonus already with her light cone, skill and Major Trace passive.

I love the introduction of HTB for her, not only for the obvious super break synergy, but it makes Ruan Mei piss easy to build even when coping with meshing cogs, you will reach 180% break effect no problem when paired with HTB

I can't say that I was eating cake when I pulled but I did get insanely lucky. I just pulled for both firefly and her lightcone, and had about 20 pulls left. I said screw it, might as well build pity trying to get mei and got her on my first 10 pull. I don't expect anything like that to happen for me for the rest of my time playing this game, but that put a HUGE smile on my face dude.

The problem with Ruan Mei is she can only be on one team at a time. I’m thinking of pulling Firefly but my main team is Kafka/BS. I’m not sure either team is worth playing without her, so it’s a conundrum. Firefly probably needs her more, I don’t know, maybe I’ll run three DOTs? I don’t have Robin so the next best support for Kafka would have to be Asta, maybe?

I'm literally in a situation where I have 2 stellar 4 piece Watchmaker sets for both Ruan Mei and HTB. Both sets are tailored towards speed and BE. If the Watchmaker 4 piece set buff cannot stack, which character benefits most from BE specifically in a BIS FireFly team of RM, Gallagher, and HTB?

Nah use both. More often then you'll stagger their buffs do to moc charging and such. Between them and Gallagher, you'll always have watch maker buff refreshed throughout enhanced state.

cake i believe you only mentioned up to 200% break effect. dumb question, but what would happen if more were to be added, per say 250%+?

It increases the overall dmg she can bring on her skill usage/one ult but not significantly, and truthfully i wouldn't suggest u to do that considering u could focus more on energy recharge after ur mei's break eff reaches 180% ish so u could get her ult a lot faster (her ult is a huge buff for her team so it's literally her biggest value)

@@nyx9924one thing that's looked over is Ruan meis rebreak delay is based on her break effect+hmc delay+slows. That being said hitting 180% on her is easy with Old Photo lc and hmc effects. Both of mine are just under 200% but easily to 300% with that lc+watchmaker+Both of their break buffs. FF is 238% and easily hits 360% benchmark.

Ruan Mei is better in Honkai Star Rail than Furina is in Genshin Impact. That's how overcooked she is. But the best part about Ruan Mei is that she's a mommy who doesn't give a damn about MC's consent. :3 E1S1 Ruan Mei is a great break point, right there with E2S1 Acheron and daddy going out for milk. Also, I’ve never heard of Charlotte cake in my life. The best cake is pie. Mmm, pie.

i just got her today!! (literally minutes before i clicked on this vid). i also got robin on her release and i was at like 48 pity and wasn't even guaranteed!! my luck in hoyoverse games rn is crazy!! at 18 pity i got clorinde and weapon. after having gotten arlecchino. now i’ve got ruan mei after just having gotten robin. no weapon cuz i only have 5 pulls compared to nearly 70 total pulls in genshin. (i am f2p btw.... very f2p)

Can anybody here confirm if ruan mei is good in the fua team?( ratio,aventurine,topaz) I didn't get robin because i was out of tickets to summon because I got topaz so I thought about ruan mei who is versatile on many team to change from time to time, and was wondering if she'll fit right in the fua team

In Firefly, HMC, Ruan Mei, Gallagher team, watchmaker set doesnt make sense as thats what HMC will be wearing and the second effect doesnt stack.

Doesn't stack but gives you 100% uptime on it basically. And she doesn't need any other 4 piece so you might as well run it

I pretty much do exactly the same things with my Ruan Mei. The one stipulation i have is that her lightcone is absolutely better than her E1. I get the point your making and i dont disagree with your point. However, the 4* cone is gacha. Its probable that many dont have access to this cone and even if they did HTB wants it too. The majority of players who are not day 1, are going to benfit far more from her lightcone.

is ruan mei good in dot cause she is the only option or does she has special synergy? in my mind she has anti synergy no since the enemy act less aka less dot trigger. correct me if im wrong pls, idk should i pull for ruan mei for dot or wait a dot support. i really want ruan mei CAUSE THEY ATE WITH HER DESIGN, i wanted fu xuan s1 but nothing but i thoughts its ok cause pity for ruan mei s1 then found out memories of the past is good on her, i have 2 copies but saving 1 for trailblazer if in the future i run superbreak so s1.

I got E1 Robin by luck and had no use for my Ruan Mei on my account because of how strong my Robin became, so I decided to pull on her rerun and was lucky enough to get it. I'm running her with Boothill and I haven't really noticed the difference like I did with Robin. Is her e1 really that good?

Ruan Mei is amazing, even in fua. While Robin slightly outclasses her for fua, Mei is still a fantastic support.
