@@terrellvolpe6651 Ruan Mei is a universal support not catered to specific playstyle. Black Swan specializes for DoT teams. If you main ONLY Kafka its better togo for Black Swan + LC. But you could also get Ruan Mei + Black Swan for kafka, imagine the insane DoT DMG

The F2P 5* light cones are good but definitely not up there with some of the limited ones. Ruan Mei’s is top tier and people saying to go for E1 instead of it are flat out wrong

In terms of Dual DPS I think Blade Jingliu would've deserved a mention since it's one of the currently functional dual dps comps. Wanted to know how much of an upgrade Ruan Mei would be. I also wonder about Silver Wolf Ruan Mei dual element if it'll be the best dual element for Silver Wolf.

The issue is you'd often just prefer to play Jingliu, Bronya, Ruan Mei, defensive option instead. Since Bronya effectively lets you use the same character twice anyway but with more damage, while both Blade and Jingliu don't use much sp making Bronya skills extra cost a non-issue. It still works well of course, but I think Topaz + Follow-up dual dps comps make better use of her, same goes for mono Quantum with qq/Seele and Sw.

You only need 160% break effect with her since one of her traces gives the whole team 20% break effect. It doesn’t show up until the battle starts

She works so well with welt since she buffs the time they are delayed for Imprisonment + welt’s ult + ruan mei’s extra delay = no enemies turn

@@AIEgg Bro, with them and Xueyi, they enemy is just broken all the time, and never has a turn. If you can cast Welt and Ruan Mei's overworld Technique, you basically stunlock your opponent every fight. 🤣

Notice that she can delay enemies' turn when they try to recover, similar to frozen enemies. So the debuffs you applied will expire sooner, but it's a good synergy for DoT teams.

The comparison is kinda moot, because you'd never play Jingliu solo, so in reality it's more of a 10-15% increase vs other units like Pela and not 60+%

I always got the break efficiency buff in the simulated universe because its surprisingly good even when i dont need it (ie, kafka) and thats only 30%... 50% in actually insane

Careful pairing with Seele! Sometimes Ruan Mei's break effect damage kills the enemy instead of Seele's attack, and thus Seele doesn't get her bonus turn. This could be a bug, but we'll have to see.

it's like the 'use ult to deal final blow' on kafka, 'cause kafka's ult triggers DoT, hence it's not the Ult that did the final blow, even tho enemy is already dead w/o the DoT trigger

What I really like about the Von build is that because of the secondary effect of the set, you don’t need to build much speed on her, in fact, you can just run the minimum of 120, and still go first. On top of that, her buffs are timed based on HER turns, so with your DPSs out pacing you after the first turn, you can get more value before she needs to refresh both her skill and ult.

I don't think you need to worry about the 3 - 4 turns ult with her sig LC. I mean if you're gonna pair her with hypercarry like jingliu and IL, I think it's fine since they're both burst dps. So you really don't need a permanent or 3-turn uptime on her ult.

But also dont forget that if you place ruan mei beside a tank that is always getting hit ruan mei will also get that extra enegy from being hit, making higher break effect builds more usable and still getting those 3 turn ults (but this often only works with characters like preservation trailblazer or march that can increase agro points on a charachter with her shield), but doing so wont guarrentee a three turn ult(but it helps to do so anyway)

@@ohthatwan8559 resistance to elements are basically like receiving less dmg to that particular element. Primary example irl is poison resistance. Those who have it may be less harmed by poison. And with resistance penetration (res pen), basically, it gives the ability for units to ignore those resistances as they are able to "penetrate" them.

@@user-kt2dp9wf1x your question is quite unclear but I understood it this way; does res penetration equal to 20% dmg buff? If it's that way, then yes. Because Res Pen is just another kind of damage buff. It buffs your unit's penetration to resistances, which basically means, it increases your unit's dmg as a whole.

I like how you mention about S5 Memorie. But you should point that out the S1 Signature has ally damage bonus. I kinda like the energy regen bonus l. That is just my take just don't get too serious.

He just tells you the energy bonus doesn't guarantee ults like memory, hence why that is on par. You get the teamwide slight dmg boost and miss out on the ultimate massive boost

180% is what you want in battle. She has an advanced trace that provides 20 break effect to herself and her allies, so you only need 160 break effect in your before battle stat to hit the 180 minimum!

I'm having a hard time deciding whether to get Ruan mei's LC or Blade's, I use something irreplaceable on Blade atm and i'm planning to use Ruan mei on my Dan heng il team but I guess I could use her on Blade's but I don't wanna drop my SW. My Blade team is struggling in the new MOC and Dan il isn't tho so i'm wondering if getting Blade's LC will help enough to be worth over Ruan mei's. Since ruan mei have a good 4star light cones, i think it's better to pull blade's LC, but back to it again, what is your superimposed memories of the past and something irreplaceable? If you dont have memories of the past/maybe at superimposition 1, you may consider pulling for her LC, but for me personally, DPS lightcones are always the best, since it's making your dps easier to build and more buffed.

It should since she isn't delaying the their action but more like canceling it out.

@@dankmemer6576 Thank you, I’ve also seen others say it doesn’t delay DoT, which is perfect for my Kafka team! Edit: can confirm that DoT’s are stronger than ever with Ruan Mei. Now hitting twice in a row in scenarios where it would only hit once.
