Interesting tidbit about Sue, thank you for sharing. Was wondering what happened to her. That's a shame she retired but hope she's doing well overall. Always loved the love/hate relationship she had with you and the monkey squad.

Except it's not even true she still owns her upholstery shop still works there and still does work her fam works there too idk if she quit him or he quit her but I think she wasn't interested in being on show anymore and maybe he was butt hurt idk but her shops still open if you check online she's done articles talking about her work and their asm Upholstery Fb still shows their projects online all the time she still calls her self dragon lady and they are hiring and she still works on interiors and convertible tops ASM Auto upholstery Dallas Texas

Should check out a Mini Split system , you can place your cooler units anywhere inside and have the head unit under the bus . Retains the cool look of a smooth roof .

My thoughts exactly!! Not to mention, the rv roof units are obnoxiously loud!! Times 3. You wouldn't even hear the mini split. Dual zone heat pump unit & mount the condenser unit under the skirt would be super trick & way cleaner looking!

Yep he's gotta make money off KZfaq since he lost his show on Discovery. He wanted Street Outlaws pulled. The producers was like why. Richard said he will buy the show from Discovery and also Misfit Garage. Richard paid a million dollars for both shows. That's when Reaper went live on KZfaq his 1st video. Chief and Shawn was like wtf. Richard was like ha ha. That's when they had the race against Richard and Gas Monkey Garage. Things happened between Richard and producers and Richards show Fast And Loud was pulled off the air. Richards bat and grill is no longer his he had to sell it to make money.

@@nir255 he was very rude that night Hank 3 performed there. That was on Gas Monkey Garage. Discovery stopped filming that night. Richard was drinking none stop. By the time Hank 3 sang like 5 songs Richard was passed out drunk. Somebody got a wheel chair and wheeled Richard to the back. Never went there again. The beer was pissed warm not cold and the food tasted like 💩

Those roof units look like crap. Use underfloor Minisplits like Bus Grease Monkey to keep the schoolbus look. Think about ditching the generator and going with a big battery setup charged by the alternator or ahead of time.

Put a HIGH PERFORMANCE motor in the Schoolbus. GREAT to see a SCHOOLBUS doing burnouts and doughtnuts. GREAT to see RAWLINGS keeping kids working.

The top mounted ac takes it from being a school bus to an RV. I think having one wall mount ac like in a tiny house, in the back, plus adding ducting to the new ac system that came with the truck, would have been sufficient.

Hey Richard just an old bus trick for you if you go to the bus scrap yard and you buy all emergency exit windows they'll all be louvered out on hinges that way you can open up the whole bus that's what I did with mine it's pretty cool good luck

Agonizing over the placement of roof-mounted AC units... ??? I hate to say it, but it's still always gonna be a "School Bus" - a fancy one, but still... an expensive lesson, certainly the experience will carry over to making something that's less "School Bus". Still great to watch, thanks for making these vids and sharing!

They want it to function as a bus for people to ride in so not really much to do for that, it be overboard to go crazy with it. If it were a camper or something it be different, but interior is kinda wasted on people hauler IMO

When it comes to keeping it COOL - give yourself a head start by using a white elastomeric roof coating like Henry's or Rustoleum. Richard might balk at the cost of Henry's so Rustoleum is still a good option.

My dump truck has the fuel and DEF on the same side, since the DEF pump is generally on the master pump at the fuel station. When you put the DEF on the passenger side, that means you'll need to move the bus out, flip a 180, and pull back in to fill the def. Just some info for ya.

Hey Richard this is Tony Bailey from your biggest fan in Louisiana I've got a little mechanic shop over here I really enjoy your build episodes. I was thinking why don't you put two crews in building things as a competition. You could have twice the build videos every week. I heard you mention it once before about bringing people from other shops. I was just thinking if you had your own guys you can have this competition every week. I have seen examples of cars from GMG - the F-40 and the Hot Wheels Corvette - up close at a Barrett Jackson auction. Let's just say there are better builders in the custom car world. Dave Kindig, Martin Bros. and Steve Moal are outstanding builders.

You will need a Dometic thermostat & and a Dometic control board for those AC. Only install one AC, that's all your need.

I would have installed 3 12v ac roof units so you could run them while driving off of the batteries and a alternator. The 12v units are also half the height. Those units are big, bulky and overkill. 2 110v units is more then plenty.

A 40' fifth wheel with five slide outs has three ACs, this bus is like less a fourth that volume. When he said that's what your guy suggested meant the salesman pushed that decision and prob cost about $2k each for those low profile versions. Also you need like an 8k watt generator to run three ACs.
