I take my hat of to you, Nick, with all the rust dust and crud you remain extremely positive. Keep warm, sir.

Good thing you have the VW Nose and badge in the KZfaq episode because only us diehard VW nerds will recognize the pile of metal and rust to be a singlecab. Lol All the best! Love your channel!🥰 🧡

It’s nice to have the bigger tools, but you’ve shown that a great job can be done with a hammer and vice 👍

Hi Nick, you can buy some solid copper rods to the length you want and shape the spot welder rods and then drill holes in the end and use the normal consumable electrodes

@@mikeemery3962 good idea, I’ll look into that 👍🏽

Great progress. I would not remove from frame jig until necessary. The complete frame is still very flimsy. I plan to keep mine on until body is mostly assembled to insure it doesn't twist or sag.

@@thenovascotiabarndoor1954 good plan, once the load bed and cargo beds are welded on it should be ok to move.

Hey Nick, question, I saw how you were plug welding, doing small tacks vs a round circular motion with the mig to fill the entire hole. I have similar sheet metal plug welds to do and I wonder if I should do the same.. Also I am very impressed at how fast you are!
@Demop_VW_garage22 күн бұрын
@@SkaterStimm yeh slight circle but mainly high amps and blast it. Trying for a flat looking weld at the end.
