I feel ya. My grandmother is the same broke her arm below the shoulder joint a few months ago. Has more advanced dementia and speaks mostly in German. She loves the sunshine so any chance we can to take her outside of the nursing home is a win for her.

My grandmother recently passed and was also German with advanced dementia. She moved to the US in her 20s, so she lost the language but kept the accent. I love hearing about other old ladies from Germany, it brings back lots of good memories ❤️

@@piperks_ same I only understand how to say the food and places in Germany and make short list-like sentences in German. But I get the context clues half the time my great aunt calls my mom (who is the only flunet German speaker in my immediate household). When my grandmother speaks it’s a mixed of very broken English and lots of broken German language. Sometimes it’s just body language and her overall mood that clues us into what she thinks or needs at the moment. She’s 97, basically lived through the entire modern era. Still incredible to think about. She was fourteen years old during WWII in Ingolstadt Germany.

@@jaimeeking8584My grandma would’ve turned 89 this year, she was 88 when she passed and she would always tell me stories about growing up in WW2 Germany. Some of the things she’s said were extremely chilling to think about. Nonetheless, it’s amazing to hear stories about her time there. She was born in Bamberg

Sending good vibes to your grandmother and the whole family 💜 I totally understand being an adult but needing your parents. I won’t go into specifics but there was an emergency with my cat last year and even though I’m in my 30s and capable of handling it, I still called my mum immediately and asked her to meet me at the vet. I just needed my mum 💜

INSPIRED THANK YOU *(totally not stealing your idea)* I didn't realize there was a pastel pink swatch on those windows and that honestly changes everything, i'm so glad there are pastel swatches in the new kits because they match better with the more recent stuff we've been getting, I love the neutrals and the pastels they've been giving us recently 🎉🎉❤❤

I love the cats celebration is sewer day. Also I've seen a cyber trick irl and it is scary looking and odd, I heard it was supposedly bulletproof....I feel like they made this car watching too many cartoons and scifi movies. Tesla is its own universe lol

Living in Atlantic Canada means that with everything being a lot closer to the water hurricanes leading to floods happens quite a bit in the fall and spring, but luckily where I live in my province I'm in central instead of in the bay so I'm not directly on the salt water and haven't experienced full on flooding during hurricanes but I can't say the same for everyone else unfortunately like it gets so bad that people lose their homes as a result it's so awful, and last year when I was at my university there was a hurricane and during the height of it someone pulled the fire alarm in my residence so we all had to go outside for like half an hour at 2 AM and normally we don't have anywhere to go for cover we are just in the parking lot but Safety & Security opened up the dining hall so that we could at least take cover in the lobby there but oh my God it was so scary and it wasn't even a real fire of course because most of the time it is it most the time it's just people being idiots but I don't understand why anyone would do that ever but especially during a hurricane
