A little different to my usual PC build video? Sure! I've waited SO long to build this keyboard. I'm by no means a mechanical keyboard expert, I think this is the second complete build I've ever done? With that noted, it's such a pleasure to just sit down and relax and learn something new whilst bringing you guys along for the ride.
The Drop x Noctua collection is simply stunning. As a huge Noctua fan myself, this has to be the ultimate finishing touch to my editing desk setup. I'm not a big fan of 'clicky' keyboards, so you could say this was a quest for the 'thock', which I think I absolutely found here!
All of the parts used to create this keyboard totalled around the $500 point. A small price to pay for something this enjoyable, with many years of customisation ahead should I wish to do so.

Building a custom mechanical keyboard may seem like a daunting task, but truthfully it's a really easy process. One of the main things to consider is the parts required for the feel, sound or response you expect from it.
Overall I couldn't be happier with this!

Crazy! I was looking up Noctua caps last week, discovered Drop and then fell down this strange "building your own keyboard" rabbit hole. Only to find Mr Matt, one week later, building a Drop Noctua.

That Nocuta key cap set is real nice. I paired them with a wooting HE60 and an alu case (tofu) and it's just an all-around nice thing to use. Loved the vid, bit of a departure but a welcome one. The production value keeps climbing, mate! On to 100k subs and beyond.

I'm an XDA keycap kind of guy myself but have to admit to lusting after a set of the Drop Noctua's for my Monsgeek M3. If only the keycaps weren't more expensive than the keyboard! xD And as always the video production is on point.

That is quite the shipping crate at the end, will be looking forward to that. Love the look of the keyboard and I am sure it performs equally well but custom keyboards are a rabbit hole I would like to avoid. Love the desk setup btw.
