When the sims were picking things out, I was so unsure how you were going to be able to get it all to mesh without looking crazy. I've got to say I truly LOVE the whole house. The basement is my favorite part, but you did a great job putting all their crazy choices together and making a beautiful home I would even live in!!

Awesome! I enjoy watching sims pick their items and then you build them a home around those items. The homes end up looking more realistic simply because most people don’t go to a furniture store and buy all their items for their entire house at once. Some people get furniture handed down to them, some buy it at garage sales, estate sales, thrift stores, etc. And even folks who do buy all their furniture new often do so over time so stores sell out of matching items or the matching items are discontinued. So most people’s homes have an eclectic range of styles, colors, etc that they’re trying to work with and this challenge creates that and you end up creating beautiful homes for the sims regardless of their choices. A real pro interior design move! I’m glad you decided to do it again and up the challenge by having them choose the swatches, too! I’m enjoying seeing these challenges and a bit curious if you can do even more to it (since I wasn’t expecting the pick the swatch part, curious if there’s even more ways to get them to choose stuff about their future home that you’d have to work with; like I don’t know how’d you get them to choose flooring or wallpapers and I’m not sure if setting all their likes and dislikes would effect anything; also you did a single young adult sim and now a couple young adult sim, would it be different with infants, toddlers, children, teens, and elders? would sims who have skills, careers, etc choose differently than sims fresh out cas?) Second, it’s impressive how you managed to get those items to make sense and look good. I would totally visit that house (and stand in the corner eating snacks like the introvert I am). I had no doubt you could do it but I was also wondering how you would ever manage with those options. Can’t wait to see what you do in the future. Huge fan. :)

HOW can you make everything look good in this game????

I have a challenge - a house for 2 sims. One is dark and broody, the other is full of colour. The line to define the 2 goes right down the middle of the house. So if the line passes through the living room or kitchen, it has to be one side dark, one side colourful. The counters might need to be different colours too? Same with the bedrooms etc. So completely opposite Sims in 1 house, completely 50/50 divided! Love ALL of your videos - you are the BEST simmer!! Literally so inspiring! xx

my headcanon for why all the appliances clash is that the couple spent all their money on all of the cool things that they wanted for their first home (the hookah, the two futuristic pod beds, the piano) and by the time they'd decided to start looking for home appliances they'd expended most of their budget and had to buy whatever they could afford. they're just young and frivolous party people lol ^_^ i love how u still managed to pull it all together tho!

As soon as I saw the items I thought about a two-story older house owned by the couple, on the first floor there would be their coffee shop/cafeteria/small restaurant (for the chef station and toilet stools), and on the second floor there would be an old apartment where they live (hence the used oven, old bookshelf etc.) but the couple`s dream is to live a luxurious life so they are slowly buying luxury stuff (bathtub, TV, etc.) with the money they earn from the cafe. Anyway, I like your idea too! Love you and your builds

i think you can do one where the sim picks the item but you pick the swatch or a random number generator can pick it if you want some spice. you can roll for every item or like you roll once, lets say you rolled 3 so all the items are gonna be 3rd swatch. you can give yourself 3 joker cards so you can choose 3 things on your own. wow where did all this creative thoughs come from all of a sudden? i guess i have inspired moodlet rn 😂

Ok, idea for the “lore” the boy has a Asian family then that’s why they have that table(so he has something to remember him of mt komorebi) and they dindt really go to a furniture store, they used some stuff they already had and stuff their parents gave, or even from a thrift store( since they are young and it’s their first house) and maybe they are now in college in some scientific major and that explains the weird beds(it’s like a project) and explains the basement

challenge! tiny houses rapresenting the build mode morning/ afternoon/ evening and night mode. but also, you have to put the setting accordingly! so for the afternoon house, you can only use the afternoon lighting mode! please, this sound so fun. epecially because we know that lighting is so important to your landscapes and outdoor decoration!!

You should do this but with outside of the home too! You could have the windows have paintings that the sims could autonomously look at and use whatever window is next to the painting. I think it’s be a fun challenge for you!

I love this concept of the sim picking items to use, I just saw another video by another creator who did a dumpster dive video and I was reminded of this video. I thought of a good way to combine. Can you create a nice looking house using items found and repaired from dumpster diving? Maybe you could sell items you don't need (if you get like 8 toilets or 3 fridges) as a limit on what you use to decorate like you did here in buy mode. A shipping container style home could look really cool with lots of mix match items.

I think it could be pretty cool if you take these finished builds and renovate them later. Like this is their starter home with a mish mash of hand-me-downs and things they splurged on for their new home, and you can upgrade items like the stove to nicer items that you think these sims would want based on their personalities. So essentially, just Dream Home Decorator them.
