I have the plans for an awd turbo k24/20 which I’m putting in a hatch. This video is awesome. Liked and subd. I’m waiting on my house to be built so I can have a garage once again, then it’s build time!!!

Since you have a k20 head on a k24 block do you use k20 or k24 coil pack? Also for the sparkplug and injectors

If i swapped my k20z1 head on a k24a could i keep the stock bottom end of the k24a without changing the rods or pistons? I will block the oil hole & ill also do the oil pump swap.

@@imp3rial744 yes, thats what i have a k24a2 bottom. the z1 head will clear. the compression on the k24 is lower than the z1

I'm planning to go into kfrank also k20z3 head, 2007 tsx k24a2 cam with 50 vtc, k24a2 block, k24a2 crankshaft, k24a2 oem pistons, k24a2 timing chain and new tensioner, k20 type s oil pump kit. Is there anything else I am missing? And can you help me the listing of other parts I missed? I'm also concern about how many pound did you put in those bolts it would help a lot knowing not to put too much pressure on the bolts. Also where are you located man I would totally pay you to build the kfrank for me love how you do yours look so simple and easy for you. Thanks in advance.

Don’t forget to put the bolt in the girdle hole or else you won’t have oil pressure. Otherwise I think you are set! The torque specs are all in the Honda manual. Take your time, and you will be fine. Hit me up if you have any other questions

Awesome built bro. Super nice... I also have a question... Im gonna be gettn a k24a1 block. With my k20z3 head , my question is... wht pistons should I use for my built(since idk wht may or may not hit the valves) or should I use the ones tht come in tht block? I also have pistons from the k20z3

U can use the stock k24 pistons OR get replacement k24 pistons

So did you just use the k24 block with all k20 internals? And is it a stock setup or did you get beefier parts….also what year k24/ k20 parts and block did you use….I have a 2014 Acura TSX 4 cylinder with an automatic transmission

What about fuel delivery, fuel injectors, throttle body, exhaust port? Will a 2014 k24 Acura block work to mount a k20 head and will I need put the internals from a k20 into the k24 block

The recommended k24 is from the 2006 tsx. There have been other iterations of the k24 after that, but none as promising as the 04 to 06 k24. As for injectors I used Rdx 410, karcepts tb plate, stock tb, exhaust was a k20 skunk 2 header to a invidia q300

I have a ported k20 oil pump. A k24 pump on a k20 head is possible but not recommended because you cant properly utilize the upper rpms

did you have any issues with the Hondabond on the studs? I ask because i've never actually seen that done before. Hondabond is an absolute nightmare to remove because its so good. in fact, the very shorts im wearing right now still have hondabond on them from an engine build i did three years ago, or so

@@ikigaidriven I got a k20a type r head (with type r intake) with a k24a2 block (with k20a2 oil pump) that im gonna swap in my base rsx with a kpro. Do you have any idea how much power I will have with this setup? Everything is gonna be stock, except the cold air intake and the 2.5 catless exhaust

@@maxxbodyshow3203 you're going to have way more than 230bhp, remember the K20a motor stock is 220bhp so I'm guessing around 240 250 with exhaust, intake and so on.

Supertech 12.5:1 pistons, BC lightweight rods, ACL race bearings (main, rod and thrust), arp studs, cometic head gasket. 👌🏼

thats a k24 girdle if you dont plug that you wont have sufficient oil pressure

I just swapped my fa5 with a k24a2 and running into p1009 code I used the 50 vtc anyone ran into this issue I replaced all strainers cleaned and gave 12v to vtc solenoid and it’s not stuck. I am replacing vtc gear and chain and tensioner all new soon, I don’t have flashpro yet. Could that be the issue?

You replaced it with a stock k24a2? No modifications? Was the timing chain removed before?

The code is usually related to timing, the chain and the tensioner. Was the motor operational before the swap

@@ikigaidriven yes motor was operational before swap got it at a reputable jdm shop. i just did a compression test 180 across so motors healthy. i reused the chain from k24a2 so maybe a possible stretched chain or bad 50 degree vtc gear. my k20z3 had 250,000 miles on it lol

I would definitely get a new chain and make sure its properly timed and a new timing chain tensioner

Bro how hard is it to do this? Ive never pulled an engine or done any work like that. Most ive done is maintenance stuff like replace brakes and suspension components, had a real hard time with drum brakes bust mostly just cause i didnt have the right tools. Im asking because I want to buy a base rsx and swape a k20/k24 build into it but im not sure if I should be going to school and learning about this stuff first or hold back on it for whatever reason .
