Building a Lifted Smart Car

In Todays episode I've bought a Brabus Smart Fortwo. I immediately tear it apart and add a 2 inch lift kit from Little Big Smart.
My plan for this car is to list it on @Cars & Bids with no reserve, which is ‪@DougDeMuro‬ 's auction site.

OMG the red wire going through the 'firewall' into the footwell to the battery without a protective rubber gromit. Please let us know when the car is gone up it flames 😂

Haha! Good catch. Poor filming on my part I used a rubber gasket in the hole, as well as insulated the wire before hooking it up for good👍🏼

Great! I’ve got 2 inch Daystar lift kit, but it’s difficult for me to cut metal frames. What are the dimensions of your tires?

“Amazon basics car sound deadener”. After this it sounded just about the same as factory. Hardly any road noise at all. I recommend getting a roller as well to fully adhere the mats down

Are doing performance upgrades? That's what I was really looking for what you did is awesome 👍 but I wanted to see Minor maybe bolt on only performance upgrades.

Thank you! so far i have not. I havent found many performance upgrades anyways, I thought about an exhaust but theyre 600-800 which for me isnt worth it.

I put the daystar lift on mine and the ride was terrible. The once zippy little street legal go cart I was used to was no more and it had noises I could not identify. I reversed the lift on mine and I like it much better. Not right for me, but some people praise it. I was going to have to cut so much in order to fit bigger tires that it only made sense to not lift it at all and cut it, that way you retain the ride quality.

Sorry, but by cutting the "cabin" to make more room for the front wheels, you have now turned a perfectly safe car into scrap. I no longer want to drive in the Smart, which was once considered the safest in its class. Every little kick causes the remaining metal and filler to bend like a straw. Like the handlebar, which also has to be extended, now works.... The fender flares, on the front edges of which the wind blows a funny song, round off the whole thing negatively. But don't be mad: after being laughed at for half a year, you can beautify the Smart with a snow plow and clean up the parking lot at the university.
