I don't know if this makes things better or worse for Skizz, but it wasn't just fishing loot that became deterministic in 1.20. ALL loot tables are now based on the world seed. Including mob drops. 😅

@@filbertovandette The loot is determined using both the seed and the circumstance! So, if you start a world and kill 10 witches with an unenchanted sword, then remake the same world and repeat the witch murder, you'll get the same drops in the same order. However, if you remake the same world and instead use a Looting III sword, you'll get different drops because you changed the circumstances. Of course, when everyone has Looting III, the circumstances are identical. That 6th wither skull would have dropped for Skizz if he'd killed another skellie before handing Impulse his sword. Wouldn't have been nearly as funny, though! 😆

So the way I see that is both run a multi layered loot table so say the mending book is up on luck of the sea 3 if you use a normal rod so base layer it’s downgraded to a cod and the book is used up but it might have been there on luck 2

I'm not saying X is correct or not but here's how one can explain the seeded loot. It's called a track and the loot table goes down a track. Technically if this can be mathed out by the seed there could be an online calculator that shows every drop that's going to roll on the seed. This also explains why skizz got no wither skulls. You hit the drop and then the track continues from there. What I'd be interested in is if the different loot tables have overlap. For example if the next drop on the track for fishing is mending and you kill a wither skeleton does that advance the track and cause you to skip the book.

2:49:47 I used to do archery in our backyard (which backs to a main road in our neighborhood), years ago. Our yard was big enough, and I was a good enough shot (and deliberately aiming low), it should never have been a problem. But I had an arrow bounce off the top of the target, into and through the branches of a tree, and land in the median in the middle of that road. ...Yeah, I found an archery range pretty quick after that.

I mock your youthful 42, sir! (Also: try to find new friends in a new state when you are said 'grl gamr' at 60 years old; in our area, I'm a bit of a freak. I'm so happy that a lot of Hermits have embraced putting their VODs out ther, since I always miss them, and so much happens 'after the edit'. Geez, I'm tired! I didn't notice the InvisAlign, but that may be because I wore one (in my late 50s, but I was determined to fix something, darn it!). But never be embarrassed of them: you're trying to fix a health issue, and that's more important than what anyone thinks. Oh, my god. I just went into 'mother mode'. Sorry. I am old, and could maybe technically be the mother to either Imp or Skizz.

I remember the Hot Ones challenge stream. I also remember How Impy got sauce in his eye. He wiped his mouth with his napkin and forgot about it, then used the same napkin to wipe his eyes. I remembered that because I winced when he did it. 😅

Skizz, the thing about the "fishing list" is that there's no real RNG. Random is a concept computers don't understand, there's always a seed and some process to that seed. The way Mojang programmed this is not to make it more OP or anything, it's just an easy and efficient way to make an illusion of randomness.

It's easy to overlook things while streaming and laughing with your buddy, but I'm surprised they didn't make a temp infinite pool on each level. Would've been easy to just use one of the corner water sources and an extra water to get infinite, then just pick up the extra and the generated source to start the next level. It worked out either way but by the second layer I wouldn't want to go up and down to get water, let alone 4 times per level. At least Impulse remembered the pain of making the first one and did the bars from the edges instead of fighting the water.

Because Cactus can’t grow next to anything, when it tries to grow here it gets stopped by the iron bars directly above and beside it. Ultimately knocking it off and into the water stream. You could also use glass panes or fence post. It’s one of the easiest starter farms to learn from. 💫

(Take this light heartedly) I am slight offended on the Comminty College teacher comment by Skizz. I know too many college students coming from community College that have more education from quite a bit of university students which makes me feel they might be a higher caliber teacher in some instances. I am not a teacher, but did come from community college while also enrolled in a major university.

Why cactus ¿ kelp was a good block to smelt for xp and bonus it could be used for future smelting. Having a cactus farm will add extra lag without giving any functional item

It's for the whole server to use eventually (at least the Magic Mountain crew). Cactus has some of the best XP per item smelted for this kind of auto farm.
