To nerd out a little, the bit that splits the airflow is called the labiam (latin: lip) or the blade, and yeah it's a pretty important part XD

It really does seem to be, on my trip over I've been wondering if it's possible to print just that bit in pla or abs and glue it in place. If you have links on where I can actually learn about whistle design I'd love to see them. I think I'm going to get more into the weeds here

@@TeamPanicRobotics I actually cannot remember where in particular I saw it, I just remember it was in relation to ocarina's, but the science behind the labiam is extremely similar if not identical

Ooh, I am excite! Another reason to catch the NHRL stream too. You could probably only have some of the ring for the bellows to make putting them in easier - sort of like an interrupted thread. I'm assuming the bellows being pulled out isn't a massive concern on this.

The broken ring to capture the bellows is a good idea, but I've got all my parts and spares printed already. Maybe for next time

@@TeamPanicRobotics yeah, I meant to say for next time, apparently forgot. Could test it out by filing/sanding down the current ones if there's time, should only really need one gap to make it a lot easier, once the first bit is down you should be able to 'screw' the bellows into the gap.
