I would love to see a budget version of this. As someone who just wants to try out streaming, I don’t want to purchase a streamdeck or foot pedal in case I don’t love it but also want to make sure I output the best product when I do try my hand at streaming

I have an elgato HD60, and if the problem is not connecting because of usb 3.0 cable, you should buy a cable that is 10gbps, I recommend belkin Usb 3.0 10gbps. Works for me😊

Omg I think with this video it will help me big time on setting up my stream. I’ve basically had all elgato accessories to get a stream going however only thing stopping me was my 2012 MacBook Pro 😅 but I finally upgraded to a 2020 MacBook Pro M1 chip and now I’m ready to start connecting all my stuff. I’m actually just waiting for a usb-c adapter to connect the hdmi cable 😂

This is similar to my setup except no Mac. And I use an acer nitro 5 and a cheap Acer slim. One for streaming and one for chats. Also, on a 50" TV instead of a monitor. But the general setup is the same. Very nice!

This all helps very much, as I know what scenes to do where and for all the audio to go through, but where do I look to play the game? I only have one monitor, so do I need another monitor to stream and play? like what screen to I look at to play the game when the xbox display goes through the capture card. BTW I have the same capture card.

I used this video as a guild, but I have now been able to get myself a good starter PC. I want to still use the Capture card, but the Casing has no USB-C ports. Is there an adaptor or a different cord you would recommend?

I got one quick question, if I wanted to use an Elgato X and I’m using a 2021 MacBook Pro, would you recommend not using a USB-C hub and still using a high speed C-C to plug it into my laptop ? I noticed you said there were errors when using adapters or dongles so just wanted to know your opinion on hubs. Thanks !

hey man, i'm looking to stream some MW3 soon on PS5, i got myself a Macbook Pro M2 Max since last time we talked around here and figured my audio/Mic situation but for some reason i can't seem to have video from my HD60X ever since i updated to MacOS Sonoma and the lastest version of obs... any fix recommendation ? in the properties it also doesn't show 1080p or 60fps as it did before :/ thanks for your awesome guides again !

It crazy bc I started my stream for streaming mortal kombat on Xbox with a MacBook. Not to mention I’m 6’3” and also from Philly which means im an eagles fan too. So this video is absolutely perfect for me. But I did experience 1 problem. I got elgato capture card and key light but elgato software doesn’t work on Mac OS. So I’m not really sure how u worked around that

Do you have any idea why the gameplay wouldn’t show up on OBS through the capture card? I have the hdmi plugged from the monitor to the capture card and from the Xbox to the capture card as well as from the capture card to the Mac book. My gameplay is showing on my monitor , and the face cam is showing on my Mac. But the gameplay on the Mac isn’t coming through. Any idea?

I have this same setup but for some reason, my game audio isn't passing through to stream. I can see it in the audio mixer section and the bars are "bouncing" with game audio but that audio isn't going through to twitch. Any thoughts?

You can listen to your audio from the computer, do a monitor and output of the game audio source in OBS

With the new ps5 update bringing the dolby atmos audio format to the sound settings, is it possible to have my format set to dolby atmos and still be able to hear my game on stream while using the elgato HD60X with OBS? I have noticed that my console sound is not recorded in OBS whenever my ps5 sound setting is turned to dolby atmos. But it works just fine when the ps5 sound is set to linear PCM. Any way to fix this so that I can have it working when set to dolby atmos?

I'm kinda starting to understand, but still very confused about the audio tracks. Will adding the capture card as an audio track only record the game sound and my party track, but not my headset mic (that's what I'd prefer) therefore leaving me able to use my usb mic for the stream itself all while I'm chatting to my buddies over the headset mic. I'm scared of echoing my voice. I should probably then just keep the mic monitoring feature tured off otherwise I'll have double my voice. An updated indepth tutorial for Windows 11 in 2024, please, I beg!

Can you make this work with Fortnite game chat audio? When a wireless headset is connected the game chat audio is not passing through the capture card by HDMI only way I've found is by using wired headsets and chatlink pro cable.

I want to use my Macbook M2 Pro that has three thunderbolt 4 ports. I have four devices to connect. The capture card, camera, mic, and stream deck. Can anyone recommend the setup I should use and what dock I should get? Was thinking of Caldigit TS4, however would all my devices mentioned earlier be okay for connecting to one dock?
