Building a Simple Homestead Sheep Shed - FULL BUILD

9 ай бұрынWe are building a simple sheep shed on our Norwegian homestead / small farm. Our gold for this build is to make it from as many natural and reclaimed materials as possible to keep the cost down and to make it more sustainable. We are using greenwood from birch trees and metal roof panels on the side reclaimed from our old collapse barn. This built became more exciting than I would like as I did not know when we started that a major storm was brewing out in the North Sea. When it hit our farm in flooded our driveway and our fields.

You should have strip the bark off the trees and use the rocks to keep it off the ground

Old zinc roof plates are gold! They where truly created to last. Also they rust but are quite durable so even though they get a nice brown patina, they are still functional

I like how you built that. I've seen similar done for both cattle, and hogs. The biggest difference is we would pile excess straw over the wood frame. Also around it to minimize drafts. Thank you.

Although I'm not a farmer, I grew up in a small farming community. You all have the makings of good farmers. You are tough, you keep going, and you know you are not in control! Nature always wins:)Prayers for your health and prosperity!

Du hadde fått kjøpt på Biltema som du kunne slått ned i jorden og sett stokkene oppi og da rotner di ikke heller for bjørk rotner fort ned i jord Og paller hadde du sikkert fått mange av så da kan du lage alle veggene Ellers gjør du en god jobb så stå på😊
