What's going on everybody?! SeanPierceJohnson here and today we're building another pedalboard. This pedalboard isn't for me though...it's for my lovely wife Cynda Renae to use when we perform live with our band Cockeyed Optimist!
And thanks to our new friends at Warwick, Framus, and Rockboard we have some of their brand new pedalboards to play around with...in addition to tons of Flat Patch Cables, power supply, and the MOD series of patch bays. The model featured in the video is the Quad 4.2

This reminded me of my old vocal board. Other bands we played with were blown away by the fact I had a vocal board bigger than their guitarists lol. This makes me want to build one again.

Good idea to show pedalboards can also be useful to singers!

Phil Smith dude...I wish more musicians would realize how useful pedals and pedalboards can be. And really, the only reason she’s using my pedals is because most “vocal” effects pedals are pure shite.

SeanPierceJohnson yeah, I could check some tc helicon stuff but god they suck! Also, it would be great for keyboard player to also check pedals and maybe even build a keyboardist pedalboard. It’s not new, we were already using chorus pedals with Rhodes keyboard in the past... some pedals were even designed for keyboards first before to be used by guitarists. So it would be great to finish the full circle. I noticed some pedals such Strymon, Empress etc... get some love from keyboardists, but I think they could definitely look at others too. There’s so much to do... my 2¢

SeanPierceJohnson then it’s time to build a “tabletop keyboard pedalboard” PS: I can understand to have pedal on top, to be easily accessible for tweaking. A keyboardist can’t pay keys and being knee down tweaking like a guitarist could. So yeah, it’s not completely stupid and it makes sense once we consider how we play each instrument and how we would want to access the pedal in real-time to tweak them (to find a tone, or to make some changing effects). My 2¢

I bought a Convertor plug from Truetone/Visual Sound MANY years ago. They’re pretty readily available still.

@@SeanPierceJohnson You have had much better luck than I have. But the ones who fought us were also the ones asking the most questions after the show about what effects we were using. After all , if the vocals sounds bad, it looks bad on the band not the sound guy.
