@johnniewelbornjr.89402 жыл бұрын
Looooong tag lines... I was at a site in Pennsylvania a few months ago where they used two pickup trucks with "L"-brackets mounted in the receiver-hitches. Each bracket had a hand-crank (no different than the crank on a boat trailer) to adjust the tension on the lines so they could control the rotor during the lift.

As a carpenter, method of attachment and elemental forces such as gravity are always at the top of my focus on custom jobs. How these guys get a huge tubular/hollow pilllar attached to a concrete base to counter the effect of wind and gravity 300ft up is incredible and, at the same time, impermanent because many of them fail....
@toddolson5734 жыл бұрын
Gravity is just a theory, but man, you sure like to think it's real. Gravity this, gravity that. Newton could never fully explain it. Later declared it just a theory. Everything is mass, density, and buoyancy, gravity is a hoax.

For anyone who lives within 5 miles of one of these turbines, it is a living hell. They hear the whooshing of the blades, the squeaks and groans of the turbines. And that is only the noise in our hearing spectrum. There is a background low frequency booming that we don't consciously hear but it manifests itself as sound that beats on your chest. People in the 1/4 to 1/2 mile circle have trouble sleeping, their kids are agitated all the time, and people have medical problems brought on by stress. Their property values are sunk to almost nothing and they can't afford to move without selling their property (which nobody would buy).
