Idea: this challenge but as a classic lilsimsie blue suburban starter home! Title could even be “can I build a blue suburban WITHOUT the base game?” or something

I love how the "no basegame" house became the island living house lmao

I really thought this would be a walk in the park until she pointed out that the saucer lights are base game 😅

I would love for Kayla to this "challenge" again but in a different style (not beachy/island living concentrated) like a maximalist one or a whimsical one. :>

I adored this video. I'd love to see this concept return for future videos. You can even try to decorate an apartment with no base game so you don't have to worry about landscaping!

Honestly, I appreciate the builds where you use a lot of packs because then we get to see how they can blend into a single build!

If Kayla ever does a one item per pack build, she should use the mannequins from get to work to involve the cas kits.

i really wanted her to go all out with the packs since this is the perfect opportunity and she rarely does but this ended up being mainly an island living-focused house 😢 it still looks good though!

This is so fun. I love the more restrictive challenges! Could be an idea for the future 4 for rent as well, limiting each apartment section to a single expansion. The vibes for the building would be beautifully chaotic 👀

Another challenge could be a CC only build. Would be fun to see since you don’t normally use CC and will give you a chance to showcase community talent. I’m sure the console players wouldn’t mind one cc build for entertainment purposes.

This really came together beautifully! An “item from every single pack” build would be cool. I also like the idea of doing this again with different styles. It’s a really cool way to discover/rediscover items.

I would love to see you do some more builds not using base game! I understand feeling bad not using it since a lot of people don’t have a lot of packs but I feel like you’re a great builder and it limits your creativity!

I honestly found this video so much more entertaining. Although it's technically "a challenge" it seems much more freeing to see you use things in a more creative way instead of going back to old habits (which we all do). It reminds me of when I was a kid and I would AVOID building with anything base game both in the sims 3 and 4 because I wanted to use the packs that I bought to the fullest

Are you aware that the subtle saucer light is only brighter because that's the preset level? I'm pretty sure you can set any of the lights to a lot brighter.

I think I will start a challenge : "each appartment is a different Sims Year", with Basegame for the exterior and then, each appartment could only use the packs/kits released that year !

First, you said in the rules that features don't count against this. I'd argue that having working lighting is a base feature and therefore getting in basic lighting to at *least* see while you're building should be allowed. You could always remove them right at the end and switch to other lighting, anyway. Secondly, I want to see the "use something from every pack" video! I also want to see what happens if you then disable every pack and then download this with only base game. What kind of substitutions would it make? I'd love to see what happens if you try to renovate an "every pack" house into a "no pack" house!

You should definitely do the challenge where you have to use at least one item from every pack! I'd love to see it! Also I saw a comment of someone saying you should do a house where you can't use the same item twice. I think this would be super fun! Can't use the cabinet or chair more than once, can't use the same wallpaper on more than one wall, etc.

I know what you can put on that space on the roof, a fan from the greenhouse kit, that way it could be an attic fan, which is real useful for cooling the house down. I wish it was useful in-game.

I love the restrictive challenge vids because that’s essentially how I play anyway - I don’t intend for my builds to be downloaded for others cuz I just do it for fun, but for some reason I always stress so hard about using tons of packs and CC as if anybody but me is gonna play them

I have an ideaaaaa for a builddd, you might have to wait till the new expansion pack but hear me out: a kind of dorm like built, but then you have a shared really colourful space and the personal rooms are like every colour of the rainbow and then spin a wheel for a gender/sexuality and make them bedrooms, in a coloursceme with only red or only orange etc?

challenge idea: every room is a different pack BUT you can only use that pack and not the base game- randomize packs for rooms based on if they have a full set of that furniture. it would take a ton of effort to make the randomizer for it though because you’d have to go through all the packs and categorize lol

I've been building recently and I have been terrified of doing so but the new To Let ex pk has inspired me. To Let is what we say in the UK rather than For Rent. To Let sounds better I think.

I think it would be fun to try doing a “base game version“ of different rooms made with a certain pack or kit. Like using base game, try to get as close to the vibes of a room made with the Decor to the Max kit, etc.

speaking of every pack it gives me an idea for a Humphry challenge. rags to dopamine riches. as someone with adhd i struggle to stay on a new skill or craft long enough to make any money from it. so have Stanley embody that. he does his usual get rich quick stuff but can only use each technique once. for instance he can have one flowering plant... for one season. collect 3 rocks total. make no more than 2 frog babies before he adopts the frogs out. then it has to die. he can make one piece of furniture on the table before he gets board with woodworking. he can have a career for one week before he has to quit. although any of those popups that say "this will change their life' have to followed. no skill levels above a five (3 for the half skill) and they aren't allowed to like or dislike anything because their mind will constantly change. I am definitely overexaggerating the adhd experience here to make it work in a game but I think it'll be fun to play and to watch you try to deal with his 'mood changes' Oh and try to follow all wants. those are hyper fixations now. I can try to come up with more specific rules if you want but i really like this idea and i think either lil simsie would be fun to watch.

I think this home decor turned out more true to life than any other build, because it's not realistic for a home to match everything that much
