This looks like a really nice budget offering, though at such a low price point, I'd consider cutting out the extras and focusing on more raw performance. For example, the custom RGB cooler is unnecessary when the i3 CPU comes with a stock cooler. So by utilizing the stock cooler, you could get yourself an i5 instead of the i3. The same goes for the sleeved cables - they look good but are unnecessary, so swap them out for something else that will give you more performance, or will be more useful - e.g. a 1TB mechanical hard drive, so you get 512GB SSD + 1TB mechanical. That way, you won't ever run out of space! Alternatively you could keep with the i3 + stock cooler + 512GB SSD only, and upgrade the GPU to a model with at least 4GB video memory. The 3GB 1060 will start to struggle due to the limited VRAM; I'd try for the 6GB variant instead.

I think one of the beauties of videos like this is that it helps pick out a good baseline of parts that a person with very basic PC part knowledge can feel confident will work together, and then cut out things as needed to help fit their budget.

Which i5? I didn't know there was an i5 that close in price that's better than the 10100f... the 10400f is almost twice the $ also what kinda bottleneck will it cause? Also I've got a 10105f in my son's rig currently and a 10100f in mine with stock coolers and they could use better cooling if doing any overclocking. Mine are matched with some gtx1650 GPUs and I'm saving for a i7 11700kf and an RTX 3060 don't make baby steps and waste your money.

@@16driver16 the CPU's you're running aren't overclockable, but you could totally undervolt them. You'd be looking at lower power consumption, lower thermals and negligible performance change (performance could actually improve due to lower temperatures in some cases)

It’s crazy you can now easily pick up 1660 S for around 150$ used. Then you can also find some insanely good CPUs like the 12100F for under 100. Now is a great time to build a budget PC. Then you have the RX 6600 and 2060, which have been seen to go for under 250$ new. PS: There is also the Z590-UD on eBay new for 70$

I own a GTX 1060 6GB (MSI dual fan), and still have my old GTX 1050 4GB laying around as a backup. Runs Doom Eternal, Far Cry 5, etc on high nice-n-smooth.

I'd be looking at an RX6600 right now if I didn't already own a 2060S, they're more or less the same but with the 2060S having all the tensor cores and slightly useable RT and the 6600's resizable BAR advantage. I'd probably stick to AM4 right now because you can get boards for almost no money and anything from an R3 3100 up will perform well enough and leave plenty of cheap upgrades in a year or two when everyone starts moving to AM5. I just replaced my old Zen 8 core 1700 with the cheapest Zen 3 6 core 5500 for £111 inc VAT delivered and in a couple of years I'll swap it for a 5900X, I'd like a 5800X3D but I think they'll be expensive for bloody yonks.

I built a pc for my parents for 450 dollars that I got from a friends old parts from an older gaming pc. it has a ryzen 5 2600, asus B450 motherboard, and a msi gtx 970 with 16 gigabytes of ddr4 ram at 3200 mhz and a 500 gigabyte sata ssd western digital.

That's a great build but I would definitly lay off the extra bling for the performance, the i3 is the perfect CPU for the build but you could probably get a GTX 1070 or a 2060 if you would spend slightly less on the sleeved cables, extra cooler for the CPU and perhaps the case, although the case is decently priced.

How do you get the front fan to spin and light up? It csme with a molex connection but if I plug it into the added adapter and into rgb header I get lights but no fan spin

1.) Love you guys, keep up the great work! 2.) Memory Speeds aren't locked on b560. I've run 3200/3600mhz on a 10100F 3.) As someone who has worked in that case, I overlooked (Shame on me.) that the front fan was ONLY an RGB Led, something that would have been nice to note.

My favorite budget cooler is the Thermalright Assassin X 120 SE (No ARGB) Still looks very nice though and is very good for ~20$

Should be getting my first RTX today, MSI 3050 8gig version. Combo with MSI 570 mobo and Ryzen 3200G. Nothing special, but i think my GTX 1650 is starting to have issues, certain offline games have started "lag" kinda.

this is a pretty good pc, im rocking the 10105f in my build paired with a gtx 1660 super its performing quite well but im considering upgrading to 11400f because since the 1660 super is still a good card at 1080p, its pushing close to 100 fps in some games so the CPU usage gets quite high.

Considering I have a PS5 for those “higher performance games” like Spider Man, this is a build I’m considering to get back into my PC games. Would most likely run my multiplayer games like Rocket League, Fortnite, Valorant etc. with the frame rates I’m hoping, and just swapping to my console when I’m looking to experience the beauty of a game. Would really like some recommendations or suggestions on if this is worth my time and money.

For me is well why would you buy a PS5 and then a PC for like 2-500$? Coulda built a 8-1000$ PC and it would be at minimum PS5 performance. Even though its easy to tweak that to be better. Anyways, if you build a rx 6600 with amd 5600x or intel 12100f. Its enough for casual games.

@@sack8439 Very valid question, and honestly my answer to that is legit because my friends are console gamers. Instead of going for the PC, I upgraded consoles to keep playing with them. Problem is, they didn't end up being as active, and when I'm alone I'd rather play games I got on PC. Realistically, I should just sell the console for what I got, and spend on a better PC like you said, but I don't wanna cut my losses on console games lmao. Appreciate the response, I'll look into them both!

Actually, you'd want to go with B560 even if H410 was available, otherwise you wouldn't be able to use XMP. Until 11th gen, intel still considered XMP to be OC and only was allowed on Z490 boards.
