I enjoyed watching the video. But maybe I missed the point of making the fiberglass enclosure , just to not use it?

This is the first time I have seen this method.. its brilliant to keep from expanding the fitted exterior of the box and to virtually eliminate the fairing on the top that would typically be done with bod and filler(and is a TON of work) to get as smooth the original stretched fabric!! And it's way less work to fix the hole in the bottom since nobody will see it. Awesome job!! Thinking out of the box!!

I was looking for a way to bond the base form and felt top without a gap/space to wrap around the outside edges. Love the glue right on top of the edge technique! Thanks.

Next time build a bottom frame and a top frame... It's easier than glass to glass and stronger. Also let's you do the back portion of the top easier.

I'm starting to notice all these DIY guys have great woodworking skills. But when it comes to installing hardware it's a crap. Wires ,drivers, so on. I guess it has to be crap so kids can afford it. Yes!

How does a fiberglass enclosure sound verses a ported box?

Whoa, great video! . What do you think a shop should charge to build a custom box like you so expertly showed here? How much does it cost for the parts and product needed to build the box, and how long would u say is the total time it took you to build it. Its hard to tell as its on KZfaq and all the video editing. I was thinking about doing this myself, im capable, but lack the garage and tools, im not very handy but am a fast learner. U r a pro, can a novice do it yourself, or is it too difficult? What do you think?

Pretty sure cutting with a table saw and no fence is asking for disaster with a kick back ... otherwise love the build!!
