I come to KZfaq to learn new techniques or improve ones I haven’t quite mastered. I look for detailed videos that I can follow step by step. This video checks off all those boxes. Thanks so much for explaining tray making in just great detail. I especially appreciated the use of a business card and tape as spacers in order to get mitered joints just right. I followed this method and cut my best mitered joints to date. Thanks again for producing an instructional video with so many useful tips.

I'm amazed you don't have way more views, I really enjoyed the detailed explanations at each step. It either taught me new things or refreshed my memory from wood shop in school which I appreciate. Too many (all?) of the popular woodworking channels are essentially just a series of infomercials pretending to be educational. Keep up the good work!

I found a wooden jewelry box that had metal marbles in the base that rolled around. What in the world why ?

Not sure. Maybe it was to alert parents if their kids were playing around and picking up valuable things? Could just be to add weight, but in an odd way. Maybe just to mess with people!
