I made it completely out of 2x4s.

Great job on those doors. I built my own greenhouse door also but I didn't add the stops. I like that and I'll add something similar. Cool idea to use biscuits for that. It looks nice and clean!

Grow Your Heirlooms Yea, going on 3 years now. Door was never perfect but has been working decent with careful use. I can tell it won't last much longer tho.

I have 2 of those green houses. One, we are still fighting with the stupidly built door that came with it. The second one, we just installed a regular house storm door, which turned out fantastic. We just filled in the sides with the same plastic panels (Lowe's sells them).

Thank you. I have the smaller greenhouse and that slide door is the worst! Which I knew it would be. I had planned on raising in one foot and putting in my own hinged door and this is perfect. Thank you.

Nice! I want a biscuit cutter now. I have the old discontinued 6'x 6'7" harbor freight steel pole greenhouse w the zipper door. The entire roof and door has been long trashed by sun, and I've sewn a door zipper on new clear reinforced vinyl front panel, but that is gone from sun/weather damage too. Need too make a framed door, but don't have flat aluminum surfaces to mount it on 🤔. What is best here? No more zipper doors!!😡

Can I use 1 x 4's instead of 2 x 4's? It looks like it would be very heavy... Also, is there another way to join the pieces if I don't have a biscuit joiner? Can I use a krieg thing? Yes I am an amateur.

I think 1x's would be too thin and might warp. as for joints, you could certainly use lap joints
