This is looking awesome and you are doing a great job Lucas! Stinks that you didn't have screws in there when you made the error. That is the one very cool thing about screws. Otherwise, it is nails for me in all my projects.

Good for you buying the lumber! Sometimes it hurts the wallet, but in the end keeps the timeline on check. Be careful with your back. That was scary and heavy.

I think that you made the correct decision to go to the lumberyard - you are guaranteed a completion date which is important for som many reasons.

Good job, the side with the prevailing wind should have a little more protection. Driving winds can cause enough trouble all by themselves.

My Jay dropped when I saw you auger your post holes out like that! Do you think I could use something like that on my ground? I truly have no experience with a machine like that though. They have some sort of shear pin right? Cage match! hahaha

Yeah, the auger is awesome! I think it would do it. It has a shear pin and I’ve sheared a few hitting rocks.
